My wife, another couple and I visited Pedros on August 31, 2012. The same couple ate dinner with us in August 2011, and we had not been there since. At that time, my essential take away was that Pedros served healthy Mexican food, was a little pricey, but had promise.
When we visited on August 31, 2012, Pedros was bustling with business. All the tables on the outdoor patio were taken, and the there were a few seats available inside. We arrived first, and chose to wait at the bar until the other couple arrived, asking to be put on a list for the patio. We waited about 20 minutes for a table to clear, not bad for what appeared to be a very busy night.
We had arrived later than usual, about 6:15 p.m. for dinner.
Our intention was to visit a couple of places in Kennebunk, so both couples just ordered an order of Nachos and drinks. We ordered ours with pork. The Nachos presentation was better than most, and tastier than most. The ladies had good things to say about their margaritas. I am a big fan of craft beer, and do wish Pedros offered a couple more draft lines. [ But, of course, Mexican restaurants are known for their tequila, and Pedros has a expansive tequila selection]. That night, Pedros had Dos Equis Amber and Lager on draft and Geary's Summer Ale. They were out of the Hoegaarden. I am not a huge fan of Geary's or Dos Equis.
Our server was very pleasant and attentive. I did watch other meals come out, and they all looked well presented and appetizing.
Pedros is a nice spot, especially the patio. I recommend giving Pedros a try.
