“WONDERFUL!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2013

My husband and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at The Lodge. It was absolutely wonderful. The room was Very cozy and clean. We had a beautiful view off our private deck. We enjoyed playing pool in the game room and the host even set up a fire outside with homemade gram crackers, marshmallows and of course, chocolates to die for, what a treat! Breakfast in the dinning room was outstanding and the view once again was just breath taking. The host set up a moose safari for us, yes we was 5 moose! Even that, the attention to detail was first class. She sent a little table with homemade muffins, juices, fruit and of course linen napkins and tablecloth. This was the best B&B I have ever stay in, and I would certainly go back. It was a great time of rest and relaxation. We came a long from San Antonio and it was well worth it!

My husband saw a magazine review of the Lodge at Moosehead Lake several years ago and it has been on our "wish list" ever since. We finally got around to booking our long weekend and are so glad we did. Wonderful hosts, wonderful views and wonderful memories

We stayed in the Loon room and I agree with prior posts about the views, turndown service and daily updates. We booked the moose safari with Mark, who is an outstanding tour guide. Very knowledgable and his approach is educational for anyone who wants to learn.

The food was delicious, my husband was sad to have missed breakfast the day or our moose tour but we at least had Dennis' homemade muffins for the tour and treats in the pantry as a snack.

Great time overall and we'd love to get back again soon.

The lodge is beautiful! We stayed in the Loon Room, which is very inviting. The hand carved bed is amazing. The room was immaculate, the turndown service was special with chocolates and a personalized weather card. We especially liked returning to the room to the sounds of loon calls softly playing. The view from our balcony was breathtaking, the tranquility relaxed us. Breakfasts were delicious. We liked the self serve buffet, with its variety of cereals, yogurts, juices, pastry. The main dish was always yummy. We booked a moose safari through the lodge and had a great time. We saw a few moose and thoroughly enjoyed listening to Mark.
Linda and Dennis were good hosts. They were not intrusive but friendly and helpful. The treats in the pantry were so yummy!
We had a terrific experience and would definitely return

OH my! This place is fabulous. The decor is totally lodge like and oh so comfy. We stayed in the Trout room. I love all the little touches such as turning down the bed and leaving yummy chocolates on the pillows, a tiny ice buckett full of ice and a coffee maker. I loved our fish theme room since my husband is a fly fisherman. The view from the back of the lodge is the best view a person could ever ask for. The deck out back is a wonderful place to sit and just relax. Dennis built a fire in the fire pit just for us and it was so nice. Breakfast was always very good. I don't even like cinnamon rolls but the cinnamon rolls are something I still think about from time to time. They are so delicious. We are planning on returning sometime next year and I can't wait.

This is a Bed and breakfast that has earned it's spot on the National registry. The views of Mossehead Lake a phenomenal and the Innkeeper's are kind and accomodating. We stayed in the Moose Room and the room's theme is carried throughout. A one of a kind Carved poster bed continues the motif. The breakfast boasts several choices from a light breakfast bar, to a main course selected and prepared by the owner. Chloe the pug has the downstairs Pub named after her and there are plentyof top shelf liquers and wines to choose from as you engage in a game of billiards.

We were warmly welcomed by the hosts. Our room in the house out the back was large, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was great- the decoration was not to my taste- but I loved the shower and the fridge- didn't get a chance to try out the bathtub.

The breakfasts were very good- although sometimes a savoury option would have been nice as an alternative to a very sweet breakfast

This B&B is perfect, the views are outstanding. The attention to detail in each room is superb. We stayed in the Loone Room, the view from the balcony is great. I would recommend the Moose Safari arranged through the hosts, we did the afternoon trip and had a great safari.
