Coveside B&B is sheer delight--a wonderful place to stay for a visit to the coast of Maine. Of all the places we have stayed in ME this B&B is our favorite. We stayed in the cottage in one of the upstairs rooms. It was decorated very simply and was very comfortable. Nice size bathroom and good shower. We had our own balcony with great views of the water and lovely yard. The gardens are beautiful. Carolyn and Tom are great hosts without being intrusive. Carolyn's breakfasts are delicious. We enjoyed the seclusion and quiet of Georgetown and Coveside is a perfect compliment.

My wife and I love the coast of Maine. We have spent at least one long weekend per year there for the last 17 years, and ever since we discovered the Coveside six years ago, it has been our favorite place. It is the perfect hideaway for a weekend "away from it all". Tom and Carolyn Church are the perfect hosts: Carolyn's breakfasts are wonderful, Tom's conversation is lively (without ever offending anybody), they have excellent taste (which shows in the way the rooms are furnished) and they like to travel themselves (which shows in the little practical things that are "just right", like enough shelf space in the right places, etc.). The rooms we've stayed in were all very comfortable, and furnished in such a nice way, and had such a nice view from their windows, that we sometimes have spent whole days just sitting by the window and reading. The garden is beautifully kept, and at the edge of the water is a wooden dock, ideal for putting a kayak into the water. Nearby Reid State Park has two perfect beaches, as well as the quintessential Maine coastal landscape with rocks and trees that go right to the edge of the water. For dinner, Tom and Carolyn will gladly recommend restaurants in the area, including the Robin Hood Meetinghouse, which is among our favorites anywhere. Of the half a dozen or so long weekends we've stayed at the Coveside, there hasn't been a single one that wasn't perfect.

My wife and I stayed at Coveside for just one night, but enjoyed our stay. Coveside is immaculately kept. We stayed in Alice's room which was nicely decorated and very comfortable (great feather and down pillows). Breakfast was very good and our hostess was very pleasant.

My husband's and my initial stay at Coveside was all we wanted and more. It was extremely relaxing with our own porch and view of the cove, and yet bikes were available for when we wanted to take a quick jaunt down to Reid State Park which has one of the longest beaches in Maine. Great walk down to the docks at Five Islands Harbor although we were too comfortably full from a delicious Coveside breakfast to partake of what we hear are great lobster rolls and ice cream on the docks. Our original thought of spending only one night after dropping a child off at a nearby camp fortunately morphed into two nights, and I can guarantee you that next summer's stay will be for even more. Our only current problem is whether we can figure out a weekend to get up there this fall!

This wonderful B&B has everything for someone who wants to get away from the stress of city life and enjoy peace and quiet. It's in a gorgeous spot on a quiet cove - with lovely views of the water from every room. We've stayed there enough times that we've managed to try all the rooms but one. The gardens are a delight if you're a gardener - and if you're not - you'll still appreciate the colorful display. The rooms are tastefully decorated - not the frilly, fake country look of so many B&Bs in New England - and comfortable, too. If you're there in the cool weather there are even fireplaces to warm you and add to the comfy, pampered atmosphere. The innkeepers are friendly and accommodating hosts. Carolyn is a great cook - the breakfasts are the best I've had in any Inns. Tom manages to host breakfast so that you feel you're at a very civilized (and fun) house party in the country. If you tear yourself away from reading on the screened porch there's kayaking along the coast, nearby Reid State Park has great walks and beautiful beaches, and you'd want to check out nearby Bath and Brunswick. And if you *must* shop.. there's alway Freeport.
