Tom & Carolyn are great hosts with a world class resort. Your visit includes a terrific breakfast in the company of both friends and fellow guests. The rooms are beautifully furnished, squeaky clean & very charming!

I would strongly recommend Coveside for either personal or small professional getaways with close proximity to Bath or Boothbay, Maine communities.

Rain or shine, you'll enjoy your time @ Coveside!

Stunning views, immaculate lodging, ultimate comfort....all complemented by the delicious breakfast and genuine hospitality of our "hosts". So glad to have discovered this gem in our home state.
Reed State Park, an expansive sandy beach just a few miles down the road, offers spectacular views, swimming in the surf (if you enjoy cold water!), and plenty of ocean front walking.

We just returned to Texas after spending four wonderful days at Coveside. Tom and Carolyn are fantastic hosts and have done a wonderful job creating a beautiful bed and breakfast with a landscaped back yard and patio overlooking the very peaceful cove. Enjoying a glass of wine each evening out there was truely relaxing. In the mornings, I would sit out there and drink coffee while watching lobster boats manuver slowly, and quitely, in and out of the cove. Carolyn and Tom served a delicious breakfast each morning and the coffee and tea never stopped coming. Carolyn made delicious homemade cookies that were always on the bar along with soft drinks and beer in the fridge. Tom was very helpful providing information and insight into the area. He told me about a place in Damariscotta, ME (about 25-miles away) that served the best raw oysters in the world - AND HE WAS RIGHT! Ask him to give you the directions. You won't be sorry. Staying at the Coveside B&B was one of the most enjoyable, peaceful and relaxing vacations we've ever had. Can't wait to return. A New England gem.

Green Features: Grounds are beautifully landscaped. Bottles and cans are recycled.

Coveside was completely to our taste; a bit off the beaten track, on-site owners, great breakfasts, location with outdoor space. This B&B has one of the most beautiful locations. In the evenings we brought a glass of wine out to the yard over looking the cove and watched the boats bob on the quiet water. Our stay was late in the season and we were lucky enough to have the annex cottage to ourselves. We spent time at Ried State Park taking photographs and visited the Bath Ship Yards and the town of Bath. Coveside would be a terrific venue for a family trip.

Room Tip: The king room in the annex was extremely spacious and private with a wonderful view of the cove.

Gorgeous setting both inside and out! Our most gracious and helpful hosts served up the most delicious, seasonal breakfasts. They provided excellent recommendations for both rainy and sunny days, an had many helpful books and maps on hand.

Coveside is an outstanding Inn. It is a really comfortable, off the beaten track, overlooking a charming quiet cove, which leads to the Atlantic.. Tom and Catherine are charming, helpful hosts who do everything to make guests feel at home. They provide tasty breakfasts, give helpful information about the area. They allowed us to bring back our lobsters from the local cafe and eat them in comfort - Tom even proved utensils and showed me how to break the lobster meat out of the shell. We loved using the canoe to paddle in the cove. A thoroughly rejuvenating experience.

Room Tip: Just ask what is available!
