“Bank Holiday Sunday Lunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

This is the 3rd time I have eaten at the Swan since the new ownership. I was anxious to be eating out anywhere on a bank holiday weekend but they lived up to their usual high standard of food and charming service. The roast beef is what I call proper meat, actually carved from a joint and not prepacked grey, unidentifiable 'meat'. Super selection of accompanying vegetables and good horseradish sauce too! Had to order a pudding - well who can resist syrup sponge, custard and icecream? Another nice touch - chocolate coated caramels presented with the bill :D We shall be very happy to come back soon. Thank you again.

“Still the very best in the area”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2013

Yet again we have just had a perfect lunch in friendly surroundings with excellent service. Our starters of lambs liver on toast and aparagus with walm poached egg were truly delicious. Mains; Carbonara and a curry, were also beautifully cooked and presented. We were to full to have a desert but the cheese cakes on the next table were truly tempting. Lovely place we keep going back to again and again. They never let us down and we feel are truly the best in the area.

“Consistently excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2013

Have been several times recently after reading reviews on Trip Advisor and we have never been disappointed. The menu is interesting and yummy at the right price. The wine menu has some really great reds on it and the presentation is great. Service is always with a smile, no matter which members of staff you are served by (and it will be more than one of them per visit).

Sunday lunch menu was very popular with the large group we took in and all of our meals were served up hot in generous portions. It's not a very well-kept secret though, (don't worry, the tables are nicely spaced out) so you will have to book.

“Lovely cosy friendly pub with fab food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2013

What more can I say! We visited The Swan this evening after reading good reviews on TA and it really was lovely, the landlords were very friendly and the pub is very welcoming and cosy. We could not fault the food the lamb and mint suet pudding was particularly good washed down with a lovely Rioja which was served at a perfect temperature. Thank you for a lovely evening and for fitting us in. We would totally recommend this pub to anyone.
