“great stay with great hosts!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2010

My family and I stayed at the inn for two nights and loved it. The weather was pretty miserable but we had a amazing time in the room and in the common rooms. Robin and Tori were very friendly and their daughter was really cute as well. The inn is located right off the street with the outlets. We would definitely come back!
The hosts are amazing bakers and will provide you with a delicious hot breakfast! They really care about the people who stay there and will accomodate to your needs! It is a very family friendly inn and just a great place to be.

This was our second time staying, and will stay again next time we stay in Freeport. Robin & Tori are great people. The Inn is in walking distance to all of the stores. The rooms are very nice, beds are very comfortable and we enjoyed the jacuzzi tub in our room. Breakfast was very good, good variety of food and Robin is a great cook.

We were greeted with hospitality and all the comforts of home.
Clean, great bed, breakfast to die for (have the sampler platter), great hosts and little hostess. A must for when we are in Freeport again.

Robin and Tori have done a fantastic job of making sure each of their guests are feel at home and comfortable in this great B&B. The furnishings and accommodations are first rate. The most enjoyable part of the day was spending our mornings enjoying a delicious gourmet breakfast while talking chatting with Robin, Tori and the other guests.

Maine has some of the most beautiful landscapes in the country; Freeport is one of the quaintest towns in the state; The James Place Inn is the "whoopie" in the middle of the "pie".

We traveled north for a few days of cross country skiing and snow shoeing and stayed at this B&B. We enjoyed our stay. Robin and Tori are gracious hosts and prepare a good breakfast. They are very helpful with local recommendations. We stayed in the room with a fireplace and found it very comfortable. We plan on returning.

We learned how you make bacon better- just sprinkle a little brown sugar on it before baking! Our dining experience here was actually unparalled. Our made to order breakfast was prepared with local Maine products, from blueberries, homemade local sausage, to pure maple syrup to generously pour over our innkeepers' homemade raisin bread french toast . A daily quiche, fresh fruit and innkeeper Tori's own granola were also presented.
The inn arranged a picnic sail for us on Casco Bay aboard their 30 feet wooden Alden boat along the dramatic rocky coast so indiginous to Maine. The boat was commandered impressively by an adept captain who graciously leveled the boat for the uncorking of champagne.
We were thrilled for the unseasonally cold Sept. weather and the return to our private elegant yet rustic Maine style room ( our particular choice of many beautifully appointed immaculate rooms) for a robust fire in the fireplace and a glass of wine before bed that evening on our private deck.
We've reserved for next Labor Day weekend and hope to make this wonderful venue an annual tradition.
