“Nice Store - Not worth the drive out of the way”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2012

It was a nice store to visit, but it wasn't worth the trip out of the way to see it.

The town, parking, and store were all very crowded. Few people were purchasing anything. I found the items that I did like to be way overpriced. It was nice they had a little trout pond and aquarium, but I've seen others at Bass Pro Shops that make this look like nothing special.

The store has a lot of Hype, and to me that's all it was. It was a beautiful, clean store. Even with other reviews that said similar things we still had to go see it, but I wasn't very impressed. I could have used the time doing something more enjoyable on our vacation other than visiting an overpriced, crowded, tourist trap.

I would have rather skipped this and found an outlet store anywhere else in the country or just visited them online to make purchases.

The past that stood out the most was that they had an entire area dedicated to nothing but pets. That was something that I haven't seen before and enjoyed browsing.

“Kind of disapointing”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2012

The store was large and interesting with a trout pond and rustic flourishes but I expected to find a wider variety of items (I was looking for shoes) at discount prices. Instead, the selection was limited and the prices were no better than I could get at home.

“Love this place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2012

I was in awe at the size of this shopping complex. I've never seen an LL Bean store before and quite happily spent a few hours wandering around Freeport. The quality of the items we purtchased seem to be very high and the prices were great.

“What An Exciting Place-Worth the Stop”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2012

While visiting ME you have to stop in Freeport ME and visit the LL Beane complex. The little town of Freeport itself is a fascinating little city. It is a shoppers little paradise. LL Beane complex is wonderful. They have a home store, hunting and fishing, bike and kayak, original and an outlet store. They are all very large stores. It would take a good shopper a whole afternoon to visit all of them thoroughly. It is definitely worth the detour off of the freeway for an afternoon here. They will shipp anything you buy.

“Not sure it was worth the petrol...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2012

Having visited before and enjoyed the retail experience (and the bargains) we looked forward to our repeat visit. But this time, there was an outlet store for the bargains (and not a great shopping experience and too much energy required to look for bargains in an untidy setting). and in the main store the range in the clothing was limited. For eg, hardly any pyjamas for men or women. Some fun things to look at in the outdoor section but if you are after something specific order it on line. Overall quite disappointing.
