“Past its prime.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 weeks ago

This hotel is stuck in the forties. The building is attractive, but the décor incredibly dated, dowdy, dingy. The furniture in our room was like chain hotel furniture. Carpet not fitting properly on one side of room. Tile damage in bathroom. No turn down service one of the nights. The fireplace was lovely. The Jacuzzi tub was nice on a freezing cold night.

We had a very good meal in the main dining room, but again very dreary furnishings. There are fires blazing everywhere, some real, some gas, and give a cozy feel. The Tavern had a slightly better atmosphere, but meal was awful, and expensive.

The breakfast was dreadful. It's a buffet. The scrambled eggs were in a solid lump, which you had to carve. The second day - exact same food, the scrambled eggs were GREY! Needless to say we didn't eat that. Lots of stodge. typical melon grapes and pineapple fruit bowl. Nothing creative. Better and fresher in chain hotels.

Disinterested staff in general, although one waitress, as we were leaving offered to get us fresh eggs. Too little, too late.

Make time (and an appointment ) to get a massage from Natasha, it's amazing and right there in your room! The staff is extremely accommodating and will go above and beyond to make sure you have the best possible experience. We went to celebrate our 18th anniversary and can't wait to go back. I just wish we had known about this gem 17 years ago! Thanks for making our anniversary so special!

My husband and I met my sister, brother and spouses for a weekend at Harraseeket Inn. Check in was a breeze (unload at front door, then park in large lot out back), Very pleasant staff all around! The livingroom was a great place to sit by the fire and relax or meet with others. All 3 of our rooms were clean and well decorated, and very quiet! I love the high thread count sheets! Our bed (room 301 2-dbl) didn't have the best mattresses but by no means were they bad. (we're spoiled by memory foam) The bathroom was nicely appointed with mag mirror, terry robes, hot hot water. Arm chairs and desk with chair help give the room a nice feel. Pool was warm and very clean. Breakfast buffet was great! Dinner in the Tavern not so great, kind of bland and not what we expected of the 6 meals we ordered. Walk to shopping and a short drive to Wolf Neck State Park.

Room Tip: My guess is that all rooms are good.

Just spent the weekend at the Harraseeket Inn, staying in room 203 which is a suite with a Queen size bed, double jacuzzi and a wood snow. The sheets and pillows are such high quality and very soft. I could have fallen asleep in the jacuzzi after snow shoeing in the morning. Breast fast buffet which is included each day is awesome and we loved our server, Celeste. We will return next year same room for sure!

Thank you for your review! You sure picked a great winter for a birthday snowshoeing adventure. Conditions have never been better and the trails around Casco Bay at Wolfe's Neck Woods State Park are just gorgeous. We're so glad you enjoyed your stay with us and hope to see you again soon!

My husband and I came to the Inn for his birthday. We had the serious shopper package. It was snowing when we arrived. We were greeted with a bottle of wine and fruit platter. We enjoyed tea time then had a lovely dinner in the main dining room. The staff were all incredibly friendly. We enjoyed a log fire in our suite. The next morning we enjoyed the buffet breakfast then left to shop. Our car had been cleaned off of all the snow from the night before by the hotel staff. We had a great day shopping at the outlets which are right down the road from the Inn. We truly enjoyed our stay here and plan on returning. Thank you for your hospitality and thoughtfulness during our stay!

We're honored you chose to celebrate your husband's birthday at our inn. It's been a snowy winter but the fireplaces are never so appreciated as they are this time of year. We wish you all the best for 2015 and hope to see you again soon!

The rooms are cozy and feel just like home, the breakfast buffet is incredible, the fireplaces are so comforting, and staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, the location is impeccable. I can't say enough good things about The Harraseeket and how great this place is. This is going to be our official go-to place when we visit Maine. Just booked a trip for next month.... again :)

Returned to the Inn after 10 years and wasn't disappointed. The first time we stayed it was for Christmas and we were very happy. Christmas 2014 did not disappoint us. Christmas dinner was wonderful, room was comfortable and the overall experience was enjoyable. Going to make it a Christmas tradition, thank you to all the staff had a great time, see you next year!

Room Tip: Didn't have time to have their lunch in the Broken Arrow Tavern, heard it was fantastic; wish we...
