“Good but not great”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

I booked the tour online (entrance ticket and private transport service). It was quite costly but safe as I chose to go there at night. The place was not that big as I expected but at least I enjoyed the "mini" safari" that I had never experienced before. You would not see a lot of animals as the park is small. I recommend this place for first time travelers and you should try the night tour when all animals are awake. MUST TRY: taking photos with young lions, safe and thrilling!!!

“Great for kids”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2013

Infact it was great for us as well. Great opportunity to see lions very closely and you'll enjoy it if you are there during the feeding time (check out their website).

We took the self-drive option. Our daughter loved it.

There were also a couple of beautiful cheetahs there. Great experience.

“worth a visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2013

Having been to many game reserves I am not normally keen on zoo like places but this is well run and the animals appear healthy and looked after well. Feeding the giraffes was fun, a very pleasant afternoon

“Very average tourist attraction”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

Other than being able to enter the lion cubs enclosures, this is a very average site. The food is also very average and I found the outing expensive.

We toured the site in game drive enclosed vehicles. The drivers did not focus on allowing us to take photographs and I found the move through the enclosures rushed and disinterested.

You can experience traffic to the park on the roads from the area if you choose a later weekday afternoon. Avoid anything after 3 pm.

We also had a very rude bunch of tourists who demanded to all tour together. Even though we were already in the queue, they demanded the attention of the driver/ tour-guide to achieve this. I did not feel that they looked after our interests by trying to accommodate the loud needs of a group paying US $ tips... clearly it was money driving the attitude rather than people that already had stood in lines patiently to board the vehicles. The owners of this facility need to offer their staff better training in this regard.

We had also made a booking before we arrived (apparently this is required). However, I found the instructions on which vehicle we were booked on vague and basically first come, first served once we were there. Whist we left at the time booked for, if we had not ensured we were near the front of the line, we would have waited as others did for the vehicle return.

The highlight of the tour is indeed the white lions enclosure, but I did not get a chance to take proper photographs as the vehicle operator took little effort to expose both sides of the vehicle to the group of lions that by way of bad luck, was not on our side for the few minutes we were in the enclosure.

“Petting of lion cubs an experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2013

It might not be the most politically correct thing to do, but it was an experience to get up close and personal with a number of lion cubs.

That aside, this was a wonderful place to visit and see Africa's wild animals in a semi safari.
