“Never Fails to Please”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2012

This reviewer lives locally, so I speak from much experience. The Foreside Tavern is the place where locals go to have a drink in the bar after work or have a wonderful dinner. The outside patio provides a great additional seating choice when the weather is good. The menu changes on a regular basis, and the chef chooses great ingredients the showcase a broad variety of entrees and appetizers that are fairly priced.
The waitstaff are well trained and very courteous and you can just have a drink and an appetizer and not feel pressured to hurry your meal. The mussels are always great, the signature burger is very tasty, and the pan fried haddock is a favorite. Sweet potato fries seem to fly out of the kitchen!! Plan on a relaxing visit to a friendly restaurant. The Red Sox and Patriots are frequent visitors on the tv screens in the bar, too.

“good fresh food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2012

wife & I decided on lunch, didn't want sandwiches or burgers
had gumbo=really good, lots of fish, meat, sausage, very little rice
not too hot [but I would like restaurants that serve bivalves to make sure they open all the way, but they weren't sandy]
also salmon grilled with sweet potato hash-wife really liked it
delicious blueberry rhubarb tart with ice cream-fresh warm, made in house, not too sweet
decent galss of reisling

“Where Friends and Family Meet”

The servers are attentive and the chef takes advantage of seasonal local foods. A bit pricey, but nice once in awhile.
