Ok, I live here but I moved here 4 years ago by choice and would not live any other place. The worst feature is the awful traffic jams on High Street during the Summer season. Use maps and avoid High Street is at all possible, especially during the hours of noon to 5pm. The absolute best lobster pound is Trenton Bridge Lobster Pound - don't miss eating a freshly cooked lobster while looking at Frenchman's Bay. Best fried clams??? Without a doubt the Jordan's Snack Bar on Route 1 just outside town. When we get vacation time we take it in the fall and do a couple of loops through MDI (Mount Desert Island) and don't miss Acadia National Park. Have Fun here - it's as close to paradise as exists.
