“A Balinese treasure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2013

My partner and I recently stayed at Furama Villa's and Spa and would definitely make a return trip.

The Villa's are located some 15 minutes from the city centre of Ubud, away from the hustle and bustle of the main thoroughfare. Regular and free shuttle services, as well as the abundance of taxi's in the area, makes traveling to and from the city centre easy.

The resort itself is coming on seven years, so is still relatively new. While there were some issues with water temperature and pressure, the rooms themselves were beautifully appointed, well maintained and clean. The air conditioner was also functioning - which in Bali is a must.
Our room had a private swimming pool that was kept clean, and was a refreshing chance at privacy.

Staff at the resort were some of the friendliest and most helpful that I've ever encountered, and none of our requests were considered too large. My partner took part in one of the cooking classes offered by the resort, in which traditional fare is made, and was very impressed with the efficiency and helpfulness of chef Katut.

We also had a private bbq at our villa, which included traditional music and our own chef. The food was excellent, and I can highly recommend this to any couple wanting to spend a romantic evening in Bali.

The spa attached to the resort also offers a full range of services, and is ideally located.

If you are looking for a private get-away surrounded by lush vegetation, then Furama is definitely for you.

I was part of a group of South Africans that stayed at Furama from 2 – 5 November 2013. What a wonderful experience and location. We received a warm and friendly welcome upon arrival and were then taken to our villas. The rooms are beautiful with lots of space, very modern bathrooms and an outside shower. The private swimming pool was a perfect place for relaxation after a day at the market in Ubud. The hotel provides a shuttle service into town, which makes getting around easy. The dinner and breakfast were some of the best we had in Bali. The Furama is definitely fit for royalty and the staff treats you like royalty. I can definitely recommend the Furama.

We've been staying at Furama Ubud since it opened each year and can say we still love it and will continue coming back year after year. The location is isolated but is what makes it so wonderful, being in the middle of rice paddies is just gorgeous!! The shuttle bus is great for when you want to venture into Ubud or it is central to many sight seeing and tourist facilities. The only thing I have to say negative is the restaurant is very pricey... however there is a shuttle that goes into Ubud at 5pm and returns at 9pm so you have an option of eating elsewhere.
The rooms are very roomy and clean, the staff very friendly and happy to make your stay special.
Thanks Furama, we will be back!!

We stayed here back in September for our honeymoon and had such a fantastic time!
The private villas are absolutely gorgeous, we particularly enjoyed having our own pool and outdoor heated shower. Such a relaxing beautiful environment to spend our honeymoon.
The staff really made our stay that bit extra special. Nothing was too much trouble for them and the welcoming environment they give you is second to none :) All the staff were exceptional but a special thanks to the young waiters/bar staff Flori, Puta & Indra who really gave us fantastic service. The management team even wanted us to plant a tree on our last day which was an extra special touch.
We look forward to returning in the future!

We stay for 4 days for a weekend gateaway. this hotel is an excellent place for relaxation, and was voted the most romantic place in 2013. I was very impressed with the hospitality and service from their staff. They even prepared my name in a wood crave and hang it outside the room. The pricing is also reasonable cheap and it will be great for couple to enjoy their stay here. A perfect seclusion for couple!

We stayed here for our honeymoon and really enjoyed it! Very peaceful environment to relax within the rice fields which is quite a different experience to busy seminyak and kuta area. Excellent service provided by staff. Couldn't avoid the insects but enjoyed swimming in our private pool. Food is presented well even at buffet breakfast. Spa experience is recommended too although it is pricey compared to other areas of Bali. Highly recommended!!!:)

We went for our honeymoon and we were very impressed with the service and hospitality from staff members we recieved. The villas were lovely and surpassed our expectations with their own pools and outdoor showers. Staff made up the rooms specially and went to alot of detail for us as it was our honeymoon. Cannot recommend this stay highly enough...perfect seclusion for a honeymoon yet accessibility to all the resorts amenities.
