We visited with a group of friends. We had a reservation (although on this week night we did not need it) and our table was ready for us. The name of the game was to have lobster and have it we did. We ordered the lobster dinner. The standard was claimed to be 1 1/4 pound lobster (boiled it seemed) with cole slaw and potatoes (either mashed, french fries or potato salad). One could substitute sweet potato fries for regular. The lobsters were tender, juicy and sweet - about as good as they get. The fries were nicely done, with the sweet potato fries done a bit more. The slaw was in a very small dish and was not like ordinary slaw. It seemed to have a bit of pineapple in it and very little mayonaise - which made it better than most. Others in our group had fish tacos and liked them. Another had sliders - little hamburgers - and liked them. Even after a lobster I had to try the clam chowder, made on site. It was superb - filled with tender bits of clam, nice potatoes and with tasty broth - not loaded with flour or other fillers. It had a bit too much pepper, but otherwise really was superb. If you visit this restaurant, you MUST try the chowder. One member of our party had a maple cheesecake and claimed it to be remarkably good.
All in all, this is a good place for seafood. The staff is very nice and aims to please. There is a screened porch directly facing the water and there is additional non-screened space for many people. If there is little wind and you are there at dusk, opt for the porch to avoid mosquitoes.
