5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2013

A great place to stay, 2 blocks to Camden center - easy walk. Terry gave us good advice on restaurants, perfect host in every way. Annette makes A #1 breakfasts, no need for lunch. Very nice room - excellent hosts. The Blue Harbor House exceeded our expectations in every way.

Blue Harbor House is within easy walking distance (just a few blocks) to downtown / waterfront Camden. Terry & Annette are attentive the needs of their guests and are excellent hosts. Breakfast is delicious as well. We would highly recommend Blue Harbor House.

B and B on Elm Street, delightful walk to restaurants and Harbor. Lovely Scottish hosts, gorgeous breakfasts, good tips on things to do. Comfy bed, old fashioned room with good amenities, clean and pleasant to stay in. I love this place!

Room Tip: i liked Compass Rose, nice king bed, chairs, tub and shower.

We found the Blue Harbor House Inn to be our perfect nest in Camden. A pleasant older house, with the most gracious hosts you could hope for, plus a terrific location to explore the region. Each morning we feasted on incredible two-course breakfasts. Terry kept our coffee cups full and had great tips on what to see. We loved exploring the region. Highlights of our several day trips included the Owl's Head Transportation Museum in Owl's Head, the Farnsworth Gallery in Rockland, the Coastal Botanical Gardens in Boothbay, the Penaquid Light House, and the fantastic view from Mount Battie overlooking Camden. When we returned from our adventures, Annette had prepared scrumptious cookies and afternoon tea for guests. We left our car in the parking lot and walked into town for shopping and dinners. Slept well, and woke up eager for Annette's breakfast and a new day's adventure. This is a clean, comfortable, charming B&B--a happy place to come back to each day. Would definitely stay here again, if in the area.

Room Tip: Ground level rooms would be easier for older travelers, as the staircase is steep.

My Husband & I had a delightful stay at THE BLUE HARBOR HOUSE in Camden Maine. We were upgraded to the COMPASS ROSE ROOM after a 5 day windjammer cruise on the Mistress. We had not had a shower in five days so Annette put us in a room that was ready. This room had a clawsfoot tub and wonderful shower. We were delighted with the king-size canopy bed and the hard wood naughty pine wood floors with cut nails. We had a private entrance also. We could open the windows even. The breakfast we ate were always delightful and served beautifully. They could not do enough for Us. We also enjoyed the front porch and rocking chairs. The enthusiasm Of Terry and Anette was outstanding. They love what they do and it shows. We stayed 3nights before the cruise and a night after and they even kept my computer and extra wine for me. Truly wonderful Inn Keepers. And enjoyed afternoon tea!!! You must try it!!!

The innkeepers, Terry and Annette, at Blue Harbor House in Camden were wonderful. The phone calls I made to Annette before the trip were very helpful. When we first arrived Terry gave a map of the Camden area and an overview of things to see and places to have meals.
The Inn is older, but the rooms were adorable and comfortable, very clean. My bed was also very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of it. There are cookies and tea available in the afternoon. They have a little "amenity" closet with books, dvd's, ironing board, water and ice which was very convenient. It's on Hwy 1, so a little noisy because our windows were on highway side but that didn't keep us from sleeping well. The Inn is just a short walk to the center of town and the harbor area. We would stay again when in the Camden area.

We just completed our annual Labor Day weekend stay at the Blue Harbor House. As usual, Annette and Terry treated us like family. This year we stayed in the Captains Quarters suite. It is nautical-themed and spacious with a king bed, sofa, tv, dvd player, a/c, working fireplace, couch, and kitchenette. Terry added a 2-person steam shower this year. My wife fell in love with it and wants me to install one in our house. We will be returning next year.

Sharon and Dick

Room Tip: If you want to try the steam shower thing, stay in the Captain's Quarters.
