“Clean, nice, quiet”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2013

Very nice room, comfortable and clean. Good location. Excellent restaurant attached. Good laundry facility. Had an issue with WiFi which was resolved quickly by the management after we complained. Great value. I would highly recommend this place.

We had booked another hotel in the same price range when visiting Camden but when we arrived, let's just say the pictures did not match the property. We checked out the rooms and then bolted in search of something else. That's when we found the Cedar Crest Inn.

Front desk staff was very pleasant. It looks like they've recently spruced the place up...if not then it's very well taken care of. The rooms were huge and everything looked new. It had a bit of a funny smell (not a bad smell) could have been new carpeting. The room was spotless and the beds were comfy.

It's just about a three to five minute ride from the center of Camden. We didn't eat in the restaurant attached but we did stop in for a drink. Some of the nicest people run the place and work there. We were told by locals they have fantastic pizza and great breakfasts.

Thank you for your kind words and a wonderful review of our quaint property! We try to think of everything: maps, a restaurant for breakfast, umbrellas, a coin-op laundry on site and wonderful conversation! Our rooms are simple but very clean, comfy and quiet. We are at a wonderful location, just one half mile south of Camden Village and you can not beat the price for the area!

Convenient located although not that close to main town (walking distance), especially if it is pouring! It was a good value and the hotel room was very spacious and clean. Breakfast is not included but there is an adjacent restaurant that gets full after 9am, so get early! Food it is alright. I understand that they have as well lunch and dinning options. Front desk clerks very nice and attentive.

Our reservation at a nearby motel was botched, and that owner set us up here. What luck! This is a gem in a great location, great service, easy access. The restaurant is nothing special, but it has excellent local Marshall Wharf Ales!

For the last 11 years we have stayed at the Cedar Crest Inn using it as a base for a week's exploration and enjoyment of the mid-coast of Maine. Being at the edge of town, it is quiet yet convenient to the restaurants and harbor activities in Camden, the nicest village in Maine in my opinion. The rooms are kept nicely clean by hardworking local people. The management remembers you from year to year, and they have a good old style restaurant on site that is well-patronized by the local population. You can rely upon this place!

Room Tip: We like the "cabin" rooms in the back, which have a refrigerator, microwave, and nice deck...

We recently visited Camden and stayed at Cedar Crest Inn. It was a good choice. It is located away from the downtown area and is very quiet. An older motel, the Inn is attractively furnished with well maintained, older decor---no problem---I think that an older inn should look like one! The beds were comfortable, the room was clean, the shower was great, and the premises were clean! I would return to the Cedar Crest when I return to Camden!

In Camden -- this great place to relax -- there is a Cedar Crest Inn. Located on the edge of the town and spread on A LARGE parcel of land it offers quite, peaceful and not overpriced place for anything you want. Heated pool, walk to the town and marina, hiking and horse riding. Plus a fantastic and very knowledgeable staff that helps with any questions and problems. Especially the Lady of Valparaiso -- who is local part time and Chilean part time. Have fun.
