“Friendly service, good menu”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2014

I would have rated this five stars, but others in my party were not impressed by the clam chowder. Of course, they are the fussiest people ever, so you really can't go by that. We were a bit before the season opened, so Cappy's was one of the few places still open at 8:00 p.m.

“Classic Casual Harbor Dining Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2014

The service was perfect this evening. Very attentive. Our table had lobster mac n cheese, a lobster roll, chowder, seafood pie, fried shrimp. The chowder was excellent with big chunks of seafood. The seafood pie (think chicken pot pie) was delicious with a big flaky pastry on top and huge lobster chunks inside. Overall, a wonderful casual dining experience. Child friendly with lots f choices on the kids menu. Great view of the Harbor.

“Food is not worth the view”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2014 via mobile

Horrible food. I got sick from the lobster I ate and could not finish it because it was rubbery and tasted horrible. Got onion rings to share thinking that nobody can mess up onion rings but to my surprise they were under seasoned and overly greasy. The only thing good about this place was the root beer and the view! I feel nauseous just thinking about the food there.

“Would visit again, but...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2014

Our waitress neglected to inform us of the nightly specials and charged us for a menu substitution without letting us know beforehand. She led us to believe it was a choice of three potato options when in reality, it was an extra charge type of substitution. The table next to us questioned their bill for the same reason. The chowder was yummy as was the lobster roll, but it ended up costing us more than expected. It is located in a great spot in Camden, but just be careful when ordering your meal.

“Great view, for a 40min wait”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2014

I have been comming here or the village restaurant since i was a baby. It is better than it use to be but it Seems under staffed with only 2 servers up stairs were we sat. We had a large party of 12 but it seemed a long time to get our food. Server seemed rude and food expensive. Great view of harbor but painful to sit there a total of 2 hours with 3 kids under 3.
