This place has the true new england flavor you look for when you finally tear away from the clutches of NYC! Light and clean and loaded with subtle details, windows that open on to lush green trees and gardens, skylights, porches, balconies, great breakfasts. This spot sits up on a hill and has some fantastic water views; many others can't compare, not even the top contenders. JoAnne, the host, was full of ideas and kept us busy and happy despite the rain. A most generous and artistic host. Many thanks!

A Little Dream is incredible. We stayed in the Isle watch room. Everything about our room was wonderful. The big custom made brass bed, the tub for two, the fireplace and sitting area (including a window seat with a view of the coast), all the little snacks and treats, and a private porch with swing, chaise lounge , table and wicker chairs. Joanne gave us a tour of the inn and ALL the rooms were beautiful and well appointed.
We have traveled a lot. We have stayed in castles in Ireland . I would say this is one of the very top places we have ever stayed. The food is sooo good. The service is above and beyond what is required. JoAnne and Billy are the most gracious of hosts. We found it hard to leave our room. All those cute shops downtown just couldn't pull us away from that porch and view. We feel so refreshed and renewed. We will be back !

In addition to gorgeous rooms, extraordinary food, exceptional service and a beautiful location, Joann seems to specialize in surprises of the most delightful sort. Get this: I'm a tea drinker who had given up on having a good cup of tea in the room at motels or b&b's because it's impossible to run hot water through a coffee maker and not have it taste like bad coffee. I open the cabinet on our little wet bar, and there are TWO coffee makers, one labeled "for tea only." Then, when my husband and I return from our delightful walk downtown for dinner (excellent recommendation by Joanne), we notice candles on our path and all of the doors leading from the outside and up the stairs to our delightful room have all been opened just a few inches leading to one another, with a soft light burning for us in the stairway, all culminating at our door on which hangs the menu for tomorrow's (scrumptious) breakfast. For two weary folks who just wanted a little overnight getaway in our home state, we returned home feeling as refreshed as if we had spent a week away. We'll tell our friends, and we'll be back.

Little Dream was the best bed and breakfast I have ever stayed at! As a member of the hospitality industry, I can truly appreciate the amounts of care, attention to detail and genuine good will that the owners lavish upon their clientel. I would highly recommend to anyone intersted in the Camden/Maine area or anyone intersted in being extremely well cared for.

This is a superb b and b which offers outstanding accommodation and hospitality. I will try not to repeat the superlatives already expressed by reviewers and add a little information which I hope will be useful. We had the Songbird Suite for 2 nights. It is excellent value and the website does not do it justice. The patio area is very large and faces the attractive garden so you do not hear too much road noise (the property is directly on US1 - though not a busy section). The bedroom is sizeable, but we were amazed by the separate sitting area and lovely turret room with seating - just fabulous. There is parking at the back of the property and we were pleased that a short 10 minute walk took us into the centre of Camden, we could also walk to the seashore in 10 minutes and a 5 minute drive took us to Mt Battie which has excellent coastal views. There is a beautiful lounge downstairs, full of books, and drinks and cakes are readily available. Breakfast was huge and delicious - and very inventive to our British palates. Unfortunately my photos don't do it justice either!

  • Liked — quality of the room
  • Disliked — next to road
