Ranked #2 of 46 restaurants in Camden
Cuisines: Seafood
Description: This is a new owner/operator of an existing roadside seafood joint. It is directly accross from Mount Battie State park in Camden Maine north of the town of Camden itself by about one mile. I think it's #247 Belfast road but that's also known as route 1. This place serves AMAZING fried seafood and home made chowder.

“Nice little place, good food, good value, nice owners”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 26, 2013

Stopped on the way up to Mt. Battie to share a bite to eat and found this place to be--for its type--to be a gem. We had a really good order of fish and chips, and followed it up with a really good dish of ice cream. The owner and his son were very friendly in a genuine way, and really seemed to care whether we were happy with our food. If you're in the Camden area and looking for a quick bite, I highly recommend that you give Mount Battie Take Out a try!

“Must visit while in the Camden Maine area.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2013

Their menu is incredible and the fresh whole fried clams and lobster rolls are on the top of our list of seafood delectables to enjoy here. This little roadside food stand was so enjoyable that we came back twice during our too short of a visit to Camden. We made sure that we were very hungry on our second visit. The owners, Gary and Kevin are so friendly that we thought they might be from or home state of Texas! Oh did we say that the ice cream was fantastic too. It is. You need to eat desert first...and last.

“Best Scallop Roll & Service with a smile.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2013

I just polished off the best scallop roll I've had in a long time. Fresh scallops, light & crispy batter, cooked perfectly. Really good tartar sauce that the owners said is made from scratch. My family loved the burgers and the chowder. The 2 owners are friendly and obviously love to provide quality roadside service to hungry travelers.

“Great take out, out of town”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2013

On Rt 1 between Camden and Lincolnville, near Camden Hills State park. Great location. No need to be in the crowds to get good take out food. Great milkshakes, sandwiches and fried food.

“Fabulous food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 16, 2013 via mobile

Great for a roadside kitchen. Lobster roll which had just the best bits of lobster in. Will be back for my picnic sandwich for Camden Hills walk.
