A beautiful Inn tucked away facing the ocean on west Penobscot Bay.
The rooms and cottages are appointed beautifully with time taken byt the owner Daina to make sure every detail is peerfect...from the reading material in the room ,to the finishings. The housekeeping headed by Bonnie is immaculate the the beds, linnens, towwels band products are fantastic!
The breakifasts "created" by Mimi are not only delicious but ready to be photographed by Bon Appetite or Gourmet \magazine!!!
The spot is so magnificent and serene.
The Team at Sunriese Point headed by Daina the owner caters to every wiish!!!
A fantstic retreat for young and old!!!

THE DOCTOR AND HIS LOVELY WIFE!!!

We stayed at the Inn at Sunrise Point for two nights of our vacation in Maine and loved everything about it. The setting - gardens overlooking the rugged Maine coastline - is private and spectacular. The accommodations and decor are stylish - crisp and airy. Each cottage has a private entrance and is named after an artist or author who worked in Maine. (We stayed in the Hopper cabin.) Our space was nicely set up with a desk and a couple of cozy easy chairs. Beds were very comfortable; we had a DVD player in our room , which we used ( there is a large DVD library for guests). Our large bathroom had a jacuzzi and separate stall shower- very clean and fresh.
Breakfast is served in the lovely Conservatory overlooking the lawn sloping down to the water. Everything is presented beautifully. The common spaces are comfortable and inviting, and snacks, coffee and tea are available all day. (We really appreciated the cookies and tea when we came in at the end of our evening.)
What made our stay even better were the warm and friendly people at the Inn. Mimi cooks a delicious (and generous!) gourmet breakfast, Bonnie provides lots of local information, and Daina, the owner, is welcoming and knowledgeable.
Even though we encountered some rain during our stay, we found plenty to do in the area. We spent time in Camden and travelled up to the Farnsworth Art Museum in Rockland.
We were so lucky to find the Inn at Sunrise Point and we are already trying to figure out when we can return. Beautiful and welcoming, with great service and attention to detail that made our stay special - this place is really a gem. Highly recommended!!

Just finished a "return visit" to the Inn at Sunrise Point, and found it just as charming and delightful as our initial visit last fall. Gourmet breakfasts designed by Mimi begin each day in the lovely Conservatory overlooking beautiful Penobscot Bay; Bonnie (a true "Mainer") has a real gift for recommending activities that allow guests to explore the local area and experience Maine at its best. The local Camden/Lincolnville/Rockland area offers a wide variety of possibilities, from sailing, fishing, hiking, sightseeing, shopping, to fine dining. Many improvements were in evidence at the Inn as the new owner (Daina Hill-2008) and her excellent staff continue to excel at ensuring guests are comfortable and enjoy their stay. The amazing attention to detail, charming accommodations, and fabulous ocean view make the Inn at Sunrise Point a luxurious getaway. We're already planning our next visit.

... stay at the Inn at Sunrise Point. Truly the most wonderful B&B. Our room was small but beautiful - warm romantic fireplace, incredibly comfortable bed, luxury linens, pillows, a huge bath with a fab tub, great shower and again - tons of luxurious towels, shampoos, etc. The fact that we were visiting in the off season meant we were the only guests at the Inn - and we loved it! We were treated like royalty. The gourmet breakfast - cooked by the fabulous Mimi was superb. I mean SUPERB! White linens, colorful flowers - the owner Dana Hill has an amazing eye for detail. We could not have been more welcomed and had a hard time leaving. Sitting in their adirondack chairs facing the ocean - what a view! We even got to meet Capt. Dave and Bonnie the housekeeper. The nicest bunch of people. Almost hate to write this glowing review because we want to keep this gem all to ourselves! But we can't. So, thanks again for a incredible time.

Gorgeous views, unsurpassed hospitality, amazing attention to details. This is definitely in the luxury class, but it is not at all stuffy. Daina, the owner, and her wonderful staff go out of their way to make every guest feel welcome and special. They are good at suggesting local restuarants and places to see, also. I was there with my two sisters for our annual trip together. We have been to many Inns and B's. The Inn at Sunrise Point is a winner. We are already thinking of how we can get back there.
