“Clean and in good order”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2014

Stayed one night on our way to Acadia. Nice spacious clean room, seems to be recently renovated. Clean bathroom, mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, hair dryer. Everything works well. Average breakfast with bagels, coffee / tea / hot chocolate, apples / bananas and some yogurts to choose from.

I might have shied away from this hotel if not for the good ratings and reviews of other travelers because it is very inexpensive, even in the summer season, and I wondered how nice it could possibly be at such a bargain price. I am glad I gave it a chance. Not only was I pleased with my first visit, but I've stayed two more times since when I needed to be in the Brunswick area for a quick overnight and it has consistently met my expectations. This hotel is not fancy but it is convenient and has all the basics you need, plus each of the rooms I've stayed in had a fridge with freezer and coffeemaker in addition to the basic hotel furnishings. Staff is friendly and aim to please--on my second visit I made a last minute reservation, and the hotel clerk called after check in to be sure the room was cool enough since she had just turned the air on before we arrived (it was fine). Despite it being on busy Route One, I heard very little traffic noise nor hardly any noise from other guests. Finally, the outdoor areas and each room I've stayed in has been CLEAN. I was particularly impressed that the glass shelf above the sink in the last room I had was clean not only on top but had also been wiped down underneath. That is attention to detail you don't often find, especially for a bargain price! A simple continental breakfast is included in the room rate as well (prepackaged baked goods, cereal, fruit, coffee, juices). If you want a clean, basic room at a good price, you can't beat the Travelers Inn.

Room Tip: Unlike many hotels, this one is not smoke-free, so be sure you ask for a non-smoking room if that...

OUR FAMILY OF FOUR stayed one night this year and also one night last year. We also stayed here for a few days several years ago. Return visits tell the story!

This quiet motel is vintage and has probably changed hands and brands over the years. It is currently run as a family business. It is no-frills but clean and accommodating. This is not a trendy or current boutique motel. Instead its plain and simple. Furnishings are from the 60s complete with rust-orange ginger jar lamps and goofy wall art hung too high. The air conditioner is through the wall and the closet is just a bar hung at the rear of the room. The tub has been updated with a three-piece surround over the original tiles and there are new stand alone vanity sinks with granite tops. It is all done neatly and thoughtfully as if restoring a vintage home. Wifi is strong and you will find a new LG 32" flat screen on your wall.

The bedding and draperies are new and attractive as is the carpet and clean carpet is always a plus! Beds and pillows are comfy and the towels are soft and absorbent. All in all if you travel New England regularly the hotel is typical of budget accommodations in New England and reflects the town. All is Mainely-kept, adequate and economical.

We've stayed in this motel 5 times over 3 years because our soon attends summer camp in Maine. The rooms are consistently clean, everything is in good working order, and while not luxurious, they strive to meet all your needs. Rooms have coffee makers, refrigerators, microwaves, irons, ironing boards, and they offer laundry room and a healthy breakfast. Every year we notice renovations and improvements. Kudos to the owners for making it feel like home away from home! Its likely the nicest place you'll finds in this price range!

Stayed here for two night's in June 2014. Not far from the Interstate, and the rooms are set well back from the road. Checked in by the lady on the desk, who was pleasant and polite. We had a two beds, room, which was large enough for us, with good storage space for clothes. The beds were comfy, and we slept well both nights. The bathroom was clean, and everything worked well. Clean towels each day of our stay. Breakfast is provided, yogurts, cereal, fruit, bagels, muffins etc. Enough to get you started for the morning. Downtown is just a short five min. drive, or a 20min walk, if you feel active. There are a few places to eat nearby, and plenty of choice's in Brunswick. Lot's of places to visit in this area, so the Travelers Inn, is a good choice for it's location alone. We would recommend it for a great stay whilst in Brunswick.

Room Tip: We stayed on the 2nd,floor upstairs, and slept well, as the rooms are set well back from the highway...

My husband and I stayed one night here on our way to Canada. After a long drive, the Travelers Inn was a wonderful stay. The room was very clean, the bed comfortable, and the property very quiet. The front desk clerk was very kind and helpful as she provided directions and a recommendation for a restaurant. They even called our room within minutes of our arrival to be sure everything met our expectations. We would certainly stay here again.

My group stayed for 4 nights in two rooms - a room with one full size bed and a room with two full size beds. Both rooms were clean and pleasant. The towels were replaced daily, and the rooms had been updated a bit since my last stay in 2012. The free wireless internet was always functional, but it was pretty slow. There was a bit of road noise at night with large trucks on 1, but never enough to keep me up or wake me up.

My friends left a case of beer out on the counter one day, and the cleaning person unloaded the bottles from the carton and put them in the refrigerator (leaving a note saying so on the desk) - so thoughtful!

The family that runs the hotel seems to live in an apartment that adjoins the office. Everyone we interacted with at the front desk was helpful and friendly.

This is an older renovated motel, so there are baseboard heaters and older AC units. However, the rooms are also larger than what you would find in most new hotels. I would not hesitate to stay again.
