Actually, Buck's Harbor Market is the food market at the front and Buck's Restaurant is located behind the market, entered by following a short stoned-paved walkway alongside the market to the restaurant entrance at the back of the connected buildings. Both businesses are managed by Jonathan Chase who has been in the restaurant and wine and food businesses for several decades. We have eaten many times at Buck's and have never been disappointed. The menu changes over the season and always offers a nicely balanced selection of seafood and meats and vegetarian options (always including a good selection of gluten-free options as well) often including local and organic and fee-range ingredients. The food has always been excellent and the service very friendly and accommodating. Jonathan has also hand-picked a very nice selection of international, well-priced wines. Buck's is a surpassingly good restaurant set in a delightful, rural coastal Maine small town setting. Well worth seeking out.
