I had a two day stay on Jan 24th & 25th in the hotel. Rooms were good & comfortable. Property is okay. Service is the horrifying part...
The best past about staying in a star hotel is that no matter how bad you mess up your room. When you come back after your business, room is clean and tide. Now i am not one o those who makes a mess. However, my room was not cleaned properly by the housekeeping and they left dirty plates behind. Did not keep the iron board back in the cupboard. I had to call them to clear the stuff. And they not very apologetic about not doing things in the right way as well. Well this is still something that you can live with.
Something you can't live without is food. That is what this place lacks big time. Spread of the food is so elaborate that it ends before it starts. Now i understand that in it important to serve local cuisine. But not to an extent where people don't have choice to eat anything. I don't know how people have rated food good in this hotel. I have stayed in Taj Gateway and their food & service was 100 times better food than Holiday Inn.
Coming to the service, people in the restaurant are not bothered to make you comfortable in the restaurant at all. No one bothers to serve you water, you have to ask. You have to ask them to clear the used plates. I called their one touch service and asked them to send me a feedback form and they never did.
Only three positive interactions i had was that the Ice Tea i asked for was good. Lady on the front desk was helpful and Attendant in the Spa was helpful.
My recommendation, STAY AWAY... spend your money wisely in places that makes you go back to them again and again.
