“Good hotel for budget travellers”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2013

Hotel Aiswarya, Kochi is a good neat & clean hotel with good service levels and courteous staff. Located about 1km from Ernakulam railway station, it is easily accessible by pre-paid rickshaw. Recommended for budget travellers looking for decent accomodation in a good locality.

We only ended up in Aiswarya having to spend a night in Kochi after arriving from south before a flight next morning (and having already browsed Fort Kochi earlier for a couple of days). We assumed there would be some action in the densely populated Ernakulam-side of town, but we should've opted for Fort Kochi again.

There was nothing to do, no place was open after dark. Nothing to complain about Aiswarya, though - except that there was a light on a painting and we couldn't figure out how to switch it off. I called for the staff and they pressed a button.

I am from NYC, USA and I met my long distance boyfriend that lives in UAE, in Cochin Kerala, this is the first place we met in the hotel, this a great place to be in love, the rooms are clean, quiet, services is great, the staff were very courteous, the food was great and I am Spanish American and I loved the food, the bed was comfortable, the A/C was great cause it was super hot in March and April 2013 in Kerala. The price was great and I will definitely return back to this Hotel, I really enjoyed it. this is not a huge hotel but is comfortable I felt like I was treated with respect and like a queen.

This particular hotel is one of the best hotels in Kochi for the price paid. The rooms are very clean. The supporting staff do provide good service. It is located in the heart of city but away from city traffic pollution. The hotel can be rated with very good.

Pros:
Near MG road, location is good
Decent service front desk, able to help us with tickets for the boat and guide us on temple visits
Neat rooms though nothing extraordinary
Complimentary breakfast
Good tv even though the direction was odd. Sorry don't remember the room no.

Cons:
Service staff did not understand my Hindi nor did they know English, so had to reach out to the front desk couple of times
Food below in the restaurant was avg, had better Kerala food in Bangalore itself

There is a tea shop just at the road end which also serves good Kerala snacks, should visit that if you can. There is a famous temple also near by 500 mts, if you can make it.

1. Off MG Road opposite a club hence a bit away from main road rush
2. Good restaurant - vegetarian buffet available as well
3. Neat rooms but restroom windows do NOT have wire mesh hence there could be insects / mosquito in certain seasons
4. Service reasonably quick
