“Great food and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2014

Went to Mine Oyster for lunch. We had the clam chowder, lobster bisque, and shared a haddock sandwich. Everything was very good...especially the haddock sandwich. Waiter was friendly and attentive.

“best fish and chips on the coast!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2014

i thought that the best fish & chips was in Freeport but this one is about the same... the difference is that the plate is twice the size of pleasure!

people with me had burgers and they were not enough cooked so stick to the seafood!

the view on the terrasse on the second deck is amazing and service was very friendly.

i will be back there for sure

“Over-priced but good food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2014

There is a lady (hostess?) waiting outside, but she just tells you to go up the stairs (why she's sitting outside with menus at a hostess bar is a mystery). The stairs are steep and would be hard for older people to manage. The waitress was friendly and helpful. The food was cooked perfectly. I got the Cali burger and my only complaint was the avocado was not quite ripe enough (I made my husband eat some to make sure it wasn't just me). Otherwise it was delicious. My husband loved his fried oyster po'boy. My daughter got the seafood "platter". Now, we've eaten this all around town and are used to huge portions. There were literally 2 clams, 2 scallops, 2 fish nuggets (not fish fillets), etc....at $29 there should have been a lot more seafood than that. It was cooked perfectly though. All in all, a great meal, just overpriced. Great view right on the water (we sat outside on the deck).

“OK but I won't rush to go back”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2014

Nice atmosphere and great views of the harbor. Negotiating stairs to eat up stairs could be an issue for some people. The wood fired grill is a welcome change from most restaurants.

Our waitress, Sarah, was great. She had a good sense of humor and was very attentive.

But the cook overcooked 3 (2 fish dishes and a burger) of the 4 meals. The bacon was cooked until it was as hard as a plank.
The twin lobster in butter was very good.

Wine and drinks were good.

“Seafood, sushi & raw bar”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2014

Located on the waterfront with good views of the harbor. Great raw bar with a dozen different oyster varieties. Very very fresh. Sushi is very good and fresh. Nice variety including sashimi options. Good listing of rolls. Seafood dinners looked good with a large variety also fresh. They use a wood-fired oven. We've eaten there several times all great. Service is excellent and friendly. Average noise level.
