“The worst!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2013

If you could eat the view, this place would be great. The swordfish and shrimp kabobs were disgusting. Our waiter was not fluent in English. Service was extremely slow. The best we can say is that we did not get sick.

“What A Difference a Year Can Make”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2013

Last year my husband and I first discovered Mine Oyster and were thrilled with the Lobster Cocktail, Rhode Island Little Neck Clams, Mussels and service. This was the first place we went back to on our recent trip and we were APPALLED! Seems the owner decided he needed a new chef to bring everything to a more "upscale" level. My thought is - if you have the freshest of seafood why cover it up? After much deliberation and with the wonderful help of Lucas, the owner decided to would be "OK" to have the kitchen make us the Litle Necks WITHOUT the Pesto Sauce" - really - Pesto Sauce? So we waited only to be served 8 (yes - EIGHT!) OVERCOOKED and RUBBERY clams for $15.00 each! Ridiculous - especially since you could get 12 raw ones for that amount - really takes a rocket scientist to steam some clams and NOT put in PESTO sauce! On another note - their menu has the fresh Maine steamer clams cooked with Tasso ham and a bunch of other unnecessary items - Again, why COVER the taste of the freshest seafood available. WE will NEVER be back there again and CANNOT recommend this place to anyone for any reason. Staff we dealt with were embarrassed ove the entire situation - not theire fault - again, Lucas was especially helpful - but his hands were tied.

“Soooo disappointed....”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2013 via mobile

We are faithful patrons of McSeagulls, and have also enjoyed the Boat House....this is absolutely no where near on par with the others in the owner's group. The reviews for dinner are beyond over-rated. Service was S-L-O-W - and the food was terrible. The calamari was overcooked, rubbery & bland, and the shrimp pizza was largely crust and minimal substance, lacking in any depth, substance or flavor. The swordfish wrap was blah, and the zucchini side was raw, undercooked and flavorless, even after being sent back for more grilling. Other dinners were...meh. While I love the other two locations, this was awful. So sorry to say, but a bad dinner that was beyond redemption....embarrassed we suggested it to others based on our experiences at McSeagulls. The server was kind enough to remove the shrimp pizzas from our bill when our disappointment was expressed, a sign that they do care about their customers? - hopefully, things will improve?

“Delicious Oysters and Sushi!”

Delightful restaurant with great views of the harbor. Delicious and fresh oysters. They have a new sushi chef and the sushi was fabulous.
