“Great Harbor View”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2013

We wanted to go away for a couple of days for our Anniversary and after reading many reviews about Brown's Wharf Inn we decided to stay.I had booked a third floor Harbor side king size room for this July via email as the hotel had closed for the season. I got an email right away to confirm. Upon arrival the staff at the front desk was very nice and helpful we had arrived at 11:30 (check in time was 3:00) we wanted to let them know we had arrived and could they please call us when our room was ready and to our surprise the desk clerk said that our room was ready and we could move in right away. Our room was located on the 3rd floor harbor side you could take the stairs but they did have an elevator as well. When we got to the room it was immaculate very clean the room itself was spacious the bathroom was small just the shower and toilet but looked like it was updated the sink was outside the bathroom. The bed was not comfortable for me was very hard my husband said it was just ok. The view from the deck was beautiful the only downfall on the deck was that there really is no barrier between decks so if you sit out on the deck you see the people on either side of you. The restaurant was great they have a turkey dinner special on Thursday's and Sunday nights it was fantastic. The breakfast was just ok we ordered an omelet and it was dry and loaded with to much cheese the potatoes were also very dry. We ate there on another night I had the Filet Mignon and scolloped potatoes and my husband had the prime rib was fantastic. All in all it was a very nice hotel the entire staff was very nice. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it you can't beat the view try and stay on the higher floors the view is much better.

Room Tip: Higher floor has the best view of the harbor

The room was immaculate. The food was fresh and delicious. The entire staff from the front desk, wait staff to housekeeping was accommodating and cordial. The harbor views-non better. Well worth the stay, we are planning on staying at Brown's again next year. We would highly recommend Brown's Wharf as the place to stay while in Boothbay Harbor.

After looking for a reasonable place to stay for one night, we settled on Brown's Wharf Inn after seeing the pictures and in peak season paying $159.00 for the one night. Many places required a 2 night minimum and were asking well over $200. We were in town to see the Botanical Gardens (MUST SEE!!!).
The room was fresh, clean and comfy. The staff was awesome with greeting us and then calling the Chamber for gluten-free restaurants. They were helpful with directions and also accommodated the requested foam pillow. The room had a lovely view of the bay. Best of all, it was a QUIET hotel. Even the fridge and the A/C were quiet. No complaints from here. I would stay there again anytime!
And Boathouse Bistro was a delicious dinner!!

Room Tip: It's a bit of a hike to downtown where shopping and restaurants are located. Even thop' ther...

Brown's is great. We never want to leave! Great customer service, super-clean rooms, perfect location and delicious meals in their restaurant! The view are incredible from the priviate balcony. It's fun to watch all the activity in the harbor. Their French Toast with cream cheese and raspberry/blueberry sauce was to die for! Their turkey dinners (offered every Sunday and Thursday nights) are so good that my wife and I plan our vacation around how many Sundays and Thursdays we can squeeze in!

Impressively clean rooms, amazing view, super helpful staff! Would definitely stay here again! I've never written a review on trip advisor, but Browns Wharf merits it! Thank you for a great stay and lasting memories!!

Room Tip: A room with a harbor view is worth it!!

We would love to come back year after year. We love this hotel. Our room was on the cove side on the third floor. So cozy and quaint. Loved sitting on the little deck. Buffet breakfast during preseason is GREAT. The Blueberry Coffee Cake is delicious. Asked the chef for the recipe and he gave it to me!!! Very pretty walk to the footbridge. It was a nice way to exercise and work off our meals.

Room Tip: We have stayed on the second and third floors on the cove side. It doesn't look like there is a...
