“A wonderful experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 23, 2009

Scott and Carol, the owners, make one feel as if you are guests not strangers in their home. They have tastefully remodeled the house, the rooms are comfortable, nicely appointed, and spotlessly clean, and the excellent breakfasts will hold all but a growing teenager until dinner. In addition to a pleasant upstairs sitting area (with min-refrigerator stocked with bottled water), a wood paneled den with fireplace (and beautiful Christmas tree during our visit) was available to us and we spent 3 relaxing evenings in front of the fire either chatting with our hosts, reading or surfing the net on our laptop (WIFI throughout). Our 16 y.o. son had a ski lesson with Scott (a PSIA level 3 instructor ) which he described as "excellent and very helpful". Our son also volunteered that he really enjoyed his visit --extraordinary praise from our usually uncommunicative teenager.
Overall: the best B&B experience we have had.

The Bethel Hill B & B is a must if you are staying in Bethel. Scott and Carol are the most wonderful hosts and their home is beautiful. Our room was huge with a super bathroom and spa bath, not to mention the wonderful breakfasts! We have stayed in 5 star hotels and have not been as comfortable. Our visit to Bethel would not have been as enjoyable were it not for the advice and local knowledge (and maps) that Scott and Carol gave us. We saw and visited places, such as Wild Moose, Deer, waterfalls etc., that we would never have found on our own. Should we ever return to New England, we would look no further than the Bethel Inn. Thank you again, Scott and Carol.

My husband, daughter and I stayed with Carol and Scott for 3 nights on our trip to US from Ireland. We had a wonderful time and can genuinely say that Scott and Carol "made" our trip to Bethel. They are superb hostes and made wonderful recommendations about things to do - we canoed; drove to the top of Mount Washington (6288ft), hiked through the woods, swam in a waterfall and relaxed on a lakeshore. Their B&B is beautiful - lots of antiques combined with the comforts of a modern home. Having read the other reviews, I can see that their breakfasts are legendary and we can only agree - my daughter and I have challenged my husband who is a chef to continue to produce these on our return home! Our suite was beautiful and very large and there was a guest lounge with refrigerator and access to the portch for relaxing. Overall a wonderful conclusion to our holiday.

We stayed for about a week during a ski trip at Sunday River and enjoyed every moment immensely. Scott and Carol are great hosts and have done a great job with this place. Rooms and amenities were all perfect. Nice quiet neighborhood within walking distance of town or 5 minute drive to the slopes. There are just enough dining choices in the town of Bethel. My wife and I highly recommend this place.

The whole experience in staying with Scott and Carol was amazing from beginning to end! Their website is completely accurate in describing the rooms and location. Scott was exceptionally pleasant over the phone when making reservations. We arrived late on Friday night for a ski trip to Sunday River, a scant 15 minutes of pleasant scenery down the road from Bethel Hill, to find our keys, a plate of excellent cookies, and room waiting for us. The Fernwood Suite we stayed in was expertly decorated and spotlessly cleaned. While all B&B's we had stayed in previously had a certain old and worn feel to them, Bethel Hill utilized beautiful antique furniture in a modern tasteful way so that it didn't feel too overwhelming or too sterile. Breakfast in the morning was graciously served by Carol, who warmly welcomed us to coffee while it was cooked. A fruit platter arrived before a delicious plate of home fries, cheddar omlette, and ham slices complemented with a glass of juice. We comfortably chatted with Scott and Carol about our upcoming day of skiing, which was excellent because Scott actually works at Sunday River and is an experienced coach of all ages. We were shocked that their hospitality extended beyond the doors of the bed and breakfast, as Scott met up with us at Sunday River later that day to make sure we were having a good time and offered a few pointers. Upon our return later that day, Carol was more than happy to offer dinner recommendations to the multitude of restaurants located within walking distance of Bethel Hill. After storing a few bottles of wine in the refrigerator of the common area, we set off for an excellent meal at Sud's Pub. The next morning we were met with the same professional and welcoming attitude as we dined upon freshly made waffles toppe with fresh strawberries and organic maple syrup along with a hearty serving of bacon. Overall our stay at Bethel Hill B&B was a great value, especially when compared to the prices of resorts in the area. Our hosts offered a sense of welcoming no other has shown before in our experience, neither too distant nor too overbearing.

We spent four nights at the Bethel Hill B&B and didn't want to leave! The place was immaculate, cozy, comfortable and quiet. Owners Carol and Scott were kind, down to earth and graciously accommodating. They were also very knowledgeable about the area and especially skiing, which we needed a lot of help with! Breakfasts were outstanding. In fact, when asked which was our favorite, we simply couldn't decide! I would recommend BHB&B to all our friends and family!

The Bethel Inn B&B is an absolutely marvellous place to stay. The owners, Scott & Carol are excellent hosts & their hospitality is second to none. The B&B is also delightful & has been superbly refurbished to a very high standard. The food, too, is lovely with an excellent breakfast menu to choose from. As vegetarians, my wife & I were expertly catered for.

The property is well located just on the edge of Bethel, which is a gorgeous little town superbly situated for exploring the White Mountains & Grafton Notch State Park. Scott gave us some excellent tips to ensure that we got the most out of our stay including places to visit & restaurants within the town, itself.

I would heartily recommend the Bethel Inn B&B as a place to stay for anyone who likes to see the "real New England" and also stay in high quality accommodation.
