this site is under construction for now I have never stayed here but when they raised the building over the week of the 4th it leaves a big hole in the bath landscape! THEY ARE REBUILDING BUT IT LOOKS LIKE IT WILL BE A WHILE!

Room Tip: when they get done rebuilding it should be great

I have stayed at this property several times over the past five years during my annual summer visit of relatives in this lovely part of Mid-Coast Maine. However, earlier in the year the hotel disassociated itself with the Holiday Inn franchise and is slated to be torn down and replaced with a new 4-story 103 room hotel (possibly a Marriot) sometime in early summer 2014.

Room Tip: If you stay there before they close for good pick a room away from adjacent U.S. Route 1 to avoid hi...

My Fiancée and I just got back from a get-away weekend at the Kismet Inn, and wow, it was not only breathtakingly beautiful, but the new staff ( Shirley and Scott) were extremely nice, and extremely accommodating. (They were even nice enough to start a fire in the fireplace for us which was exactly what my soon to be wife was hoping for, and it added a lot of romance to the evening!) We stayed in the "Saffron" room, and it was quite the treat. The floors were clean enough to eat off from, and the bathroom is something fit for a palace. The bed was exquisite, and we both slept soundly through the night. Everything about this experience screamed V.I.P. but the prices were more affordable than places half as nice! 10/10 will recommend to anyone! Almost forgot, my fiancée did Yoga ( at the Yoga studio in the INN!!) while I had a "Reiki" session for my aching back, and we both felt extremely rejuvenated after our own little "healing" sessions! Thanks again!

Room Tip: We were given a tour of the Inn, and would honestly stay in any room. Saffron room = 10 out of 10!
