“Great Place in a Great Town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2013

Spent time here last summer while on a family trip along the Maine coast based on other reviews, and what a great choice. The place is warm and inviting, and is run by two of the nicest innkeepers we've come across (three, actually, if you include their very friendly dog). Breakfast each morning is fantastic, and gets you ready for the ten-minute walk to downtown Bath, which has some great shops and restaurants running the gamut from high end kitchen store to simple local diner.

Don't miss it.

My wife and I finally got a chance to sneak away for the weekend and we had never been to Bath so we chose the Benjamin Packard based on Trip Advisor reviews. We have stayed at many Inns in the past and I have to tell you this Inn was one of the best experiences we have had at a B & B. Upon arrival our gracious hosts Amy and Mark welcomed us with a nice fire ablaze, impecccable clean rooms with a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. The Breakfast each morning was fantastic and we enjoyed are many strolls just a few blocks away to Main Street where there is certainly plenty to do. We truly enjoyed our weekend getaway experience at the Benjamin Packard House. We will be back - Thank you Amy and Mark!

Another enjoyable stay with Amy, Mark, Lupi and Tille. Wonderful accommodations, delicious breakfast, and the welcoming innkeepers. Gathering in front of the fireplace was a relaxing spot for all 9 of us. Amy and Mark know how to treat their guests. All the extra touches mean alot, right down to cleaning the snow off the cars, warming them up, and driving them to the front door. What service!!!! My 8 friends and I had a wonderful time. Thank you

Room Tip: There's not a bad room in the house. Whichever one you choose you will be satisfied.

I stayed in three B&Bs this trip to mid-coast Maine; the Packard House took the candle. My room (Niagara) was light and elegant - not huge but perfectly appointed. Breakfast was a pleasure - unusual, not too sweet, healthy and luxurious at the same time. The inn is a quiet work of art and everything clean as a whistle, Amy and Mark are friendly, comfortable hosts. We'll be back!

We planned a Maine trip to see friends and family. My husband's favorite second cousin, Barbara, recommended this B and B. We had a wonderful time. Our hosts Amy and Mark are very gracious and committed to providing their guests with the best away from home experience.. Breakfast is incredible. Amy is a wonderful cook and all of our breakfast meals were creative, fresh and well prepared. Every attention to detail is made to insure each guest's satisfaction in every way. Rooms are comfortable, well appointed and very clean. This house is beautiful and is centrally located.

We will be back. One of the best B and B's we have been to! Thank you for a great experience.

Previous reviews of Benjamin F Packard House had been very positive and we were eually delighted with our stay. The bedroom was very pleasant and the owners have given over 3 downstairs rooms in their house to guests to either sit and relax or watch TV (the latter being in a separate room such that you don't feel that by watching it you're intruding on others). We found Bath a great location from which to explore the area and the town itself had all the facilities you need. Amy was always very happy to offer advice re places to eat/visit and the breakfast she provided was first rate. She also kindly supplied homemade cakes for afternoon tea.
All in all a really lovely start to our holiday.

This our second stay at this B&B and we brought our friends with us.(our friends didn't stop talking about it their entire time in Maine.) From the minute you go through the front door and met by Amy you fall in love! Beautifully decorated, comfy couches to lounge on, bedrooms are cozy and the inn is spotless. Besides being a superb innkeeper, Amy is a superb cook. The breakfasts are delicious!
Also the room rates are very reasonable and the location is walking distance to downtown where there are several great eateries.
They have a dog and a new puppy which you have to see in person.
So if you are traveling up the coast of Maine be sure to spend a night or two and stay here. You may never want to leave.
Thank you Amy for another home away from home visit!!
