“Exceptional Quality, Amazing Warmth, Incredible Food”

The Galen Moses house is nothing short of pure delight. We arrived tired from the drive from Boston after a recommendation from a friend. We were thrilled when we pulled up to the unique Pink House in the middle of Bath, Maine. The owners greeted us with warm smiles and a lovely cocktail. We were shown our room, a perfect size for warmth and comfort. Along the way, we enjoyed the rich wood antiques and the stories of the history of the house. After dinner in town (a great recommendation by the owners) and a quiet night sleep, we awoke to a fabulous breakfast of homemade waffles with fresh fruit and cream. We sat for longer than expected, enjoying the company of the other guests and owners. The next time we are in Maine, we will stay here!

This is a wonderful B&B to stay at - the house has been restored to how it looked when it was built (though with the modern conveniences one expects!) I especially loved the library and antique furnishings found throughout the house. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the hosts are a true delight, especially if you're lucky enough to arrive during cocktail hour. Breakfast was delicious, and yet again, filled with fun conversation. It's very close to Freeport with all its shopping, yet is far enough away to not feel so touristy. I will definitely plan to stay with Jim and Larry again.

I have traveled many places in the world and have found the Galen Moses House among the best. The proprietors are welcoming, warm and knowledgeable about the area attractions. The Inn is a Victorian Masterpiece in a delightful small city in a historic neighborhood, and the Inn is a glowing gem. Sue Owen

My husband and I traveled to Bath for a romantic weekend in New England and we were delighted by the experience we had at the Galen Moses House. The owners, Jim and Larry, are generous hosts. Our room was lavishly decorated, and the breakfasts in the morning were so sumptious that we skipped lunch. Our hosts were so gracious that we look forward to returning to their home again in the future. Hearing that we missed our dogs, they even let us meet their lovely, rescued greyhound.

I just read a review of the Galen Moses House that completely baffles me I feel compelled to rebut everything she said.. (Review October 18, 2009) This woman "claims" to have stayed there but I sincerely doubt she was at the same B&B that I have stayed at countless times. My brother lives near by and rather than stay with him and get in his way, I stay at Galen Moses House. The owners are gracious people who go out of their way to make their guest feel welcome. The B&B is lovely, comfortable, quiet and relaxing. I would recommend it to anyone and feel certain they would enjoy their stay.

We tried to check availability to make a reservation, but no one ever returned our call. We left a very detailed voicemail with our return call info, but we never received even a courtesy call back.

Wow, we never received the phone call....perhaps our cell phone was not turned on at the time of the call but we did not see the message. So very sorry we missed you.

Larry & Jim are really great hosts. They are very welcoming and they made breakfast time so much fun (and delicious)! The rooms are decorated with great flair and are very comfortable. I traveled to Maine for a wedding with my husband and my brother-in-law and sister-in-law. We rented the Safari room and the 40's room and we shared a bathroom. It was such a great experience!
