“Clean and quiet”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2012

Great room with a view of the kennebec river. Very clean hotel and comfortable king size bed. The breakfast was good...much like other hotel free breakfasts. Friendly staff too. I would recommend this hotel and will stay here again when in the area. Walking distance to the downtown restaurants and shops too!

My wife and I stayed at the Hampton in Bath, Maine and had an excellent time. The motel was very clean, the breakfast was great, we were treated excellent by the staff and when we left we were given a travel bag with water, fruit and other munchies. I have never had that before and I thought it was great. I would reccomend this motel for anyone to stay at if they are traveling in the Bath, ME area.

For the past year, I have spent 4 nights a week in hotels around Bath, Brunswick, and Freeport. The Hampton Inn in Bath is by far the best hotel around. They're located on a beautiful river (ask for a river view room) and you can WALK to lots of dinner spots, the library/park, and the shops in Bath. The staff is very friendly, but not fake. They take care of you. Very clean rooms and nice comforter that actually gets washed between guests. What a concept. Fridge and micro in the room, lapdesk is convenient for laptopping.
Breakfast has lots of choices - healthy and non-healthy.
After trying 'bout every hotel in the area, I stay exclusively at the Hampton Inn now.

Room Tip: Ask for river view.

The lady in my life and myself had a wonderful stay here. The hotels are VERY clean and tidy and the room includes a fridge and microwave. The included breakfast had a very nice selection of delicious buffet items. The ONLY issue we had was with the sheets. Either too much starch, harsh detergent or bleach, which irritated the skin slightly. No big deal though, and it hasn't stopped us booking another trip there for March. Excellent hotel.

Room Tip: Don't pay extra for a river view as you may end up on the lower floor which basically overlooks...

Excellent all-around. The usual Hampton: very clean, quiet, and well-appointed. BUT add a view and delightful downtown (think walking to wonderful restaurant and shop choices) location. Plenty of convenient parking, too. Nice!

we have stayed in a lot of hotels and find Hamptons always good this one is also new and in a lovely location. We had a river view and were able to check in early reception staff very helpful. Also very helpful about places to go and things to see. We stayed 3 nights and were very very comfortable indeed. The breakfast is a bonus as not only does it save $20 a day but saves time going out looking for something. Nice restaurants less than 10 mins walk from the hotel rooms large and spacious and beds and pillows superb what more can you ask.

Room Tip: River views at the front and we always ask to be away from lifts and ice machines which can be noisy...

My family had a good experience at the Hampton Inn in Bath. You couldn't beat the location right along the river. You can walk to downtown and there is a grocery store near the hotel. Being able to walk to the farmer's market was nice, too. I thought the hot breakfast wasn't the best I've ever had, but here were a lot of other options to choose from. The room was clean and having a swimming pool in the building was great for the kids. We paid around $200 for a room with two queens in August, which I thought was pretty pricey for a Hampton Inn.
