Description: we are the most unique restaurant on the island (cir.1900) everything on our menu is prepared from scratch. we have the best burgers on the island and further. we are open year round. our prices are modest and we cater to the locals. we have a great selection of local micro brew beers and a full bar to boot. our bar-b-que is awesome, pull'd pork and baby backs smoked right here.

“Tasty BBQ in a unique setting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2012

We have been going to Nemo's for years when we vacation near by. The food is very good, the beer is very cold and the atmosphere is unique. The restaurant is rustic Maine at its best.

“If Hunter S Thompson Had a Bar in Maine this would be it”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 26, 2012

We were lucky enough to stay down the road from Capt'n Nemo's.After our Acadia adventures,we would stop in for a couple of frosty beers. We never had their food but it all looked good! When in Rome do as the Romans,Capt'n Nemos is a local haunt with LOTS of character,We highly recommend this place!

“Okay food, okay service. Okay.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2012

We stopped at Cap'n Nemo's restaurant as our last meal before leaving Maine. The outside of the place reflects the inside--it is crowded with mismatched furniture, tons of old drawings, and other old knick-knacks. The servers are super laid-back, which can be cool when you are just talking with them, but (of course) that also means that the service is mediocre. The food is alright, nothing amazing; it is good enough for a quick bite. Altogether, this place is not meant for families, nor is it good for those looking for a meal. I would suggest to stop by here to get a few beers ($3 bottles, $5/$7 drafts) and play a game of pool.

“A Vacation Stop You Won't Forget”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2011

What a fun place. When we saw the outside we first drove by it, but when my husband saw the hand painted sign "Frosty Mugs Open Til Dunn" leaning up against a car in the front yard, we turned around to give it a try. It was even more fun inside. Couches, loveseats, and the "dining" room tables had various chairs around them, including rolling office chairs. The bar had a padded front, something I haven't seen in a long time. The bartender told us it was so customers wouldn't hurt themselves when they passed out at the bar. Since it was mid afternoon we ordered drinks and an appetizer. My husband's beer came in a really big frosted mug. I had a bloody mary and when I asked her what tomato juice they use, she said "oh, I put some of our salsa in it". It was good. We ordered quesadilla and they were excellent. I would have to list this more as an fun experience rather than a bar stop and classify it in the "Dives" department. It should be on your definately have to stop by list.
