“Home Cooking like Mom use to do!!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2013

Home cooking at its finest!!!! This is a truck stop restaurant with a very diverse menu. Stopped in for breakfast several times over the last six months and always had a good meal and service. The breakfast options are plentiful and no one will leave there hungry. The baked goods are worth a try as well. I always picked up cookies for the guys at work and everyone loves them. It’s also important to mention that every server we had really liked their job and had been there a significant amount of time. The pride of the staff definitely show’s in the good food.

“Feel good food for cheap”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2013 via mobile

Amazingly kind waitress who gave us large biscuits instead of bread when she found out we just hiked Mt. Katahdin and gave us a cup of soda to go for the long drive home.
Large portions of warm, home cooked food for cheap.

“Good Menu, Great Food, Great Ambiance”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

This is a restaurant attached to a truck stop shop.
Menu is diverse, atmosphere is informally great for adults and kids, and the truck shop right next door was a treat as well.
Each dish ordered was really enjoyed -- and we were seven including 3 kids.
Their lobster roll (my dish) was superb.
Worth going out of your way for.

“Finnan Haddie - It's Not Just for Breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2013

We are Mainers and try to stop at Dysart's whenever we're in the area. On this particular evening, there was a folk festival in Bangor and Dysart's was crowded, even at 8 PM. We were just placing our order when my wife noticed the "Specials" board listed finnan haddie. This dish, made with smoked haddock and a white sauce is something her family often served and you rarely see it in restaurants anymore, so she was excited. I ordered the chicken wings, which were OK, but were a little dry and came in only one "heat". Her fish was fine, although she said it was a little salty. The yeast rolls were wonderful. We both ordered blueberry pie to take home, and Dysart's is justifiably proud of theirs.
