On the plus side: the hot fresh bread brought to my table was very light and very good. Staff were friendly but looked over worked.
On the mediocre side: perhaps it is because I have been to Italy, Sicily and the North End of Boston biases my review. The linguini and shrimp in a pink sauce was just OK. Not enough garlic and only five small shrimp. The pasta was over cooked but the shrimp weren't. This sauce tastes exactly like the sauce you get in a jar from Rao's, with a few chopped tomatoes added. Really tastes like Rao's! They wouldn't, would they?
On the negative side: I wanted a beer. They were out of Peroni and Shiner Bock and only had the traditional lousy beers (Bud, Bud light, Coors and Corona). What, the beer truck can't find Sulphur? They did have KJ Cabernet, not too bad for $7.
Also I didn't get the impression cleaning was their top priority. My clean table wasn't. It was sticky. The floor also needed sweeping.
Well, reading the other reviews, this is apparently the best Italian Sulphur has to offer. If I want mediocre Italian I will find an Olive Garden. At least the stores are clean.
