Three of us ate at Crawdaddy's this past weekend. We ordered beers, and my beer failed to arrive. After waiting fifteen minutes, the server told me that it was the last bottle and it was being iced. We then ordered boiled crawfish as an appetizer, and they were fair. My husband and I split the fried seafood platter which had all their seafood offerings: oysters, shrimp, fish, crawfish, stuffed crab, and stuffed shrimp. None of these had any flavor. You could have closed your eyes and eaten anything on the platter, and never have known what was in your mouth. If you like breading, then this is the dish for you. I was hard pressed to find a piece of crabmeat in either of the stuffed items, and the oysters and shrimp simply had no flavor. Nor did the crawfish. The fried fish was better than anything on the platter, but nothing great. My son ordered the crab cakes and crawfish etouffee. The cakes were more likely fish cakes, and the etouffee was a gummy, flavorless mess. It's a mystery why north Louisiana (Shreveport) has no clue how to cook south Louisiana food, but they are sorely lacking when it comes to fine cuisine.
