I ignored the review about the noise and was sorry. Hotel is beautiful, clean, friendly staff, but you could hear everything in the hall, tv next door, door to stairs slamming, cokes being refilled, etc!! I think the hotel is so quiet in general that there is no " white noise" to drown out the comings and goings that you are going to find in any hotel. The staff was exceptionally nice and friendly and even upgraded us to a room with a tv in bath which I loved. If I had just had a box fan to drown it out it would have been perfect!!!!

Great friendly staff, the lady running the breakfast is AWESOME! Had a great time at this La Quinta! The location is kind of odd to get to as you have to drive thru another motel to get to it but it was worth it.

We booked this hotel on the recommendation of reviews we read on TripAdvisor. The staff couldn't have been nicer, and the facility was new, and very clean. HOWEVER, the walls might as well have been hanging blankets. We're wondering if there was any insulation placed between the walls at all. Normal conversation could be heard in the next room. And with their TV loud it was a real nuisance. To their credit, the lady at the desk switched us to a different room late at night, which was quiet. So the rating would have been 4 stars for the hotel newness and excellent staff. But we could never again stay in a La Quinta. At least not one that was built within the past 20 years. My guess is that all these mid range new hotels are built as cheaply as possible. That results in rooms that have very little sound barrier in them. If you are a phlegmatic type of person who gets to sleep and stays asleep easily and soundly, then this place is for you.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with no one next door. And turn your hearing aids off!

Excellent in everyway: facility, staff, breakfast, exercise room! A quality stay and experience.
An enjoyable Gumbo Cookoff Festival and entertainment. Tabasco tour and use as a hub for touring area is ideal. Design efforts expended for the facility were especially outstanding.
Breakfast room is large, well stocked with an excellent selection, Much effort by all staff to make
the stay perfect from front desk to housekeeping and especially sparkling hallways and lobby.

We had time and drove around checking out various properties. Settled on La Quinta. We were not disappointed. Very nice staff at check in. Not sure how old, but looked new. Very clean and room was set up with a nice desk with plugs for a laptop. Fridge and Microwave. Breakfast was very good, eggs, meats, biscuits, cereals, fruit, juice, pastries - the full boat. Very quite. Staff was not very familiar with better restaurants, but that minor. We stayed 2 nights. Just off Hwy 90, but only a couple of straight shot miles to old downtown. AARP rate @ $99.

If we are back this way, this will b e our choice.

Room Tip: If you sleep late you may miss breakfast. Cuts off at 9 AM weekdays.
