“Excellance in all aspects.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2012

I stayed at the Atrium Hotel and Suites on Feb. 17th. thru 19th, 2012 and could not have been satisfied. We held a conference there and the people that works there, bent over backwards to help in anyway they could. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, and all the house keepers were very easy to talk to and I could ask them for most anything and they would get it for me. If ever i am in Monroe again, I will be staying athe Atrium Hotel and Suites.

Room Tip: Corner suites are large and sunny..

“Don't waste your money - it has gone down hill for years”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2012

My reservation for a "King - Jucuzzi Suite" for 7 days. Reservation was made several weeks in advance directly with the hotel. I explained previous problems at the Atrium but was assured that all had been resolved and my suite would be ready when I arrived. It wasn't. The front desk girl was curt and sullen. She explained that they only had a Queen Suite available. I accepted to be moved the next day to a King Suite. Well, the assigned suite already had an occupant. A trip back to the front desk. "Sorry it must be the computer", she said without looking at me. The Queen Suite assigned was beautiful and exceptional for the price. But, the tub jets did not work, the shower only ran scalding water, "Sorry, must be a worn out gasket." Duh! The TV in the bath did not work, many of the lights did not work, burned out bulbs. I asked to be moved the next day and a King that I was shown did not compare to what I had reserved. This front desk girl stated , "Sir, they are all alike," She didn't know of what she was speaking. The next day I was moved to a fine King Suite - just what I had expected. The next day I was advised that I had to move since that suite had been reserved to someone else, a friend of the owner. I was moved back to the original Queen Suite. My nerves began to frazzle. Both telephones in the suite did not work. Finally after several hours of work the worker got one to operate. The next morning when checking out i found that "someone" had put a $1000 hold on my bank account (debit card) and another $1000+ was taken from my account. No one could explain how that could have happened but that it would be straighten out in 10 business days. Of course that was not to happen. The front desk manager (when she arrived 2 hours later) send a fax to my bank instructing them to release the "hold" of the $1000. Still they could not explain how or why they took over $1000 from my account as a debit not a hold. Be very careful my traveling friends. My bank, TD Bank would not do anything about it so I'm changing banks also.

Room Tip: You're on your own. Don't expect a room that you have reserved. There is no rhyme nor reas...

“Wedding Weekend”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2012

Rooms were great, staff accommadating. But nothing can make up for the lack of hot water. We were upgraded to a suite, still luke warm water. We had 13 rooms booked; some for 3 days. After decorating, wedding, undecorating, it is not acceptable for guests to not have hot water. This wasn't just us, but the majority of family and friends. It was embarrassing after all we asked them to book here.

Room Tip: Check out the hot water in your room before moving in

“Nice lobby, clean rooms”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2011

After having to leave another hotel in the area because it was so gross, and almost everything else booked in Monroe, we decided to give this one a try. The lobby is beautiful and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We were given a room in the back with an outdoor entrance. We parked right in front of our room. The liners on the curtains need to be replaced. It looks bad from the outside, but when we went in our room, we were pleasantly surprised. The beds, dressers, and TV are all updated and very nice. The beds were extremely comfortable. There was nothing real fancy about the room, but it was nice and clean, and when we needed extra towels, they were brought right away. I would stay here again.

“may have four legged visitors”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2011 via mobile

The newly renovated
Suites were ok and beds were great, but awakened by a friendly mouse that was running around the room. Would not recommend, although food in restaurant was good, especially breakfast.
