I am really disapointed about this Hotel Four points Sheraton in New orleans airport.

First my airplane delta arrived 2 hours later than the estemated time in the airport 23H05 and then I called the hotel to ask them if they can ask the shuttle to come to pick me up since they stoped at 23H(what kind of airport hotel shuttle stops running at 23H?), they said that it's not possible since it's 5 minutes late.

So I took a taxi to arrive thier hotel.

when i entered the hotel everything seems to be great with this hotel, but the trouble begins!

I entered my room. First impression is that the room was dirty. It seems that the carpet has never been cleaned. Then the biggiest surprise is that I found blood stains on my toilette!! Quickly i went down to ask them to give me another room.

I got another room, it was the same impression of dirtyness but this time without stains of blood.

Before I entered the room, I saw that on that floor, there was a security guy seating in the corridor!

What kind of hotel is that needing a security guy seating on each corridor? then I found that in fact this hotel is located in a very unsecur place and it makes me wonder why there was blood stains on the toilette in my first room.

This hotel is really not professional. I don't think that I'll recomment to anyone it's really dangerous to live there.

Plus the hotel shuttle is like non existing, only for 9 persons seats each time runs every 30 minutes, in the morning I beleive it's going to be difficult for those who want to get to the airport for the early flight!

The girls at the front desk were totally impolite.

This is supposed to be a great hotel, but there is a serious of management and the cleaness, plus a very bad location, althought the decoration worth 3 stars, it has been run down to 1 star!

We stayed in Rms 331 and 333 last weekend. This was listed as a 4 star hotel on Priceline but it is more like a 2-2.5 star tops. If I had paid more than I did ($45) I would be very unhappy. The rooms are large with whitewashed furniture that must date to the late 70's. The lighting in the rooms was very poor- we had to take the shades off the lamps to see. There was no hot water so we had to call maintenance. The hot water went on and off all night but was just bearable so we did not call again. The pillows are all feather so we had to take them off the beds because we have asthma. The desk said that housekeeping was closed ( 9pm) so they could not get regular pillows. They do not use fitted sheets so the bottom sheet lifts right off the mattress when you pull the covers down to get in. Rm 333 is a pit. One of the mirrored doors is broken on the closet, the plaster ceiling above the tub is cracked all the way across and the tub finish is flaking off. The phone was visibly filthy and the cord was frayed. These were the only adjoining rooms so we couldn't change. There are signs all over saying that the hotel is to be completely renovated.
The biggest problem was with the shuttle to the airport which is first come first serve. My sister went down 15 minutes before the first shuttle at 6 am to find 6 people ahead of her and no driver. He showed up around 6:10and opened the back of the van for them to load their own luggage. The group ahead of her had become anxious so they had called a cab and left opening up space for the flight crews in line behind them, otherwise, I guess it would have been tough luck. We went down right at 7:30 and stood next to the parked van. At 7:40, we asked the desk clerk where the driver was and she told us that he wasn't leaving until 8. "What about the 7:30 run?" She just shrugged. Fortunately, we had plenty of time. The driver did not make an appearance until 8:05.
I have stayed in dumps before, but when I stay in an airport hotel, it is because I am depending on the shuttle service. If it does not deliver, I never stay there again.

From the time I "stepped" into the building, I was smiling. Smiles abound here! I am a wheelchair user and these people went out of their way to provide transportation and more! The hotel restaurant is awesome and the entire staff is excellent! I recommend this hotel to clients and will definitely stay here again! The rooms were very clean, the ambiance is fantastic!!

Stayed Thursday and Friday night July 22 and 23rd, 2004. It took 40 minutes for the van driver to show up and get me at the airport. (I should have called first, I waited until I got to baggage claim.) Then he complained about his pay pretty much the whole way in.

Had reserved a deluxe room overlooking the pool; they first gave me a small room on the other side. The front desk people needed an attitude adjustment. Their view seemed to be that since I was a solo they could slot me anywhere, regardless of what was reserved.

The room (after I came down and got what I had reserved) was an incredible bargain for the price paid, good sized, in good shape, clean, no maintenance issues. This was what they called an "executive king."

The elevators worked fine, but they were having some problem with the pool which looked about the same color and consistency as the Atchafalya Swamp. Oblivious, small children frolicked in the green slime undaunted. The spa, however, was clean and relaxing and I had a pleasant conversation with a fellow guest.

The restaurant was virtually empty on a Friday night at 7:30 (decor really, really needs help), but we had good food and good service. The lounge had just reopened and the bar lady had a great personality (and made pretty good drinks to boot).

Again, for the price paid this hotel was a bargain... I've stayed in far worse in New Orleans... but it has so much more potential if it were kept up a bit better and if more of the employees had positive attitudes.

We booked this hotel after researching online and looking at the fabulous photos of the hotel. Don't be fooled by their website - this hotel is horrible. It is right in the middle of what looks like a 3rd world country. The bathroom door was broken, there was a hole in the wall, the internet data port was not there - and no one came up to fix this problem when called. 2 of the 3 elevators were broken, the room was small and basic - even though we booked and paid for a delux room with a balcony. we checked out immediately and did not stay - as did the other guests who checked in the same time as us. After writting the sheraton they still have not responded....they keep saying they will issue a letter of apology, but I have not received one. I strongly suggest no one stay here unless you are desparate!
