Stayed here for a business trip. Staff was nice, hotel newly renovated and clean. Lots of amenities and a respectful breakfast. Great if you need to stay near the airport. The only problem I had...and this is a pet peeve of mine...the iron reeked of mildew and left mineral deposits on my shirt. This is why you have to be careful using some hotel irons.

This hotel is less than 10 minutes from the French quarter with easy access to the city. We stayed for three night in April of 2013 and were looking for a place to stay outside the craziness.
Pros -
Great location
A couple of great local place to eat by the hotel
Large rooms
Helpful Manager Malcolm
Cons-
We had an issue with the bathroom and the night manager didn't want to stop watching TV to help and treated us like it was our problem the chain broke
Rooms face the top of a best buy or a parking lot
Breakfast can be free in the mornings but arrive early, we came down about 20 minutes before it was suppose to stop and were told all the food is gone and the Chef decided to stop cooking.

As you can see we had a couple of issue's that should not have happened, but I was able to talk to one of the managers Malcolm I believe and he took care of us.

Room Tip: If you have an issue at night don't talk to the night manager he would rather watch TV in the lo...

Our flight arrived at midnight so we opted to stay by the airport rather than head into the city. The hotel's free shuttle picked us up (you need to walk through the airport's transit center to the inner parking garage for hotel shuttles), and our experience with customer service was excellent - from the shuttle driver to the hotel clerk, and every employee who we encountered during our one-night stay. The hotel is in the midst of upgrades, and there are details that need attention (e.g. the handle to our shower was tricky and in need of minor repair), but the room was clean, quiet and comfortable, and we appreciated the regional treats awaiting us in our room. The lobby is nice - with access to a computer - and our stay included the breakfast buffet which was very nice. There's an outdoor pool and hot tub, and a small fitness center (which were all clean), and our taxi ride into the city was a flat $30 fee for two of us. The location is in the typical airport strip mall proximity, so it's not a destination but rather an over-night convenience, and because of the friendly service, we'd stay here again.

I reserved to this hotel because the Hyatt in New Orleans was full. This was a one night stay. I hotel is near I-10, which makes it easy to drive to the Business District in New Orleans. Very clean and very nice. I enjyed it.

The airport is about three miles from the hotel. The hotel shuttle runs 24 hours a day.

The front desk staff checked us in without any problems and accommodated us on the location of our rooms.

The rooms are small but well design. Two night stand, two chairs and a medium size dresser with three large drawers. There is an open storage area with a large upper shelf and plenty of hangers to hang clothes. The bathroom is compact with a small countertop for the sink, bathtub and shower combination.

There is a large work table with a four electrical outlets. The Internet speed is slow.

The hotel has a restaurant that serves local food and his open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Room Tip: The tall building from downtown New Orleans can be seen from the upper floors on the East side of th...

This hotel was undergoing some renovation so keep that in mind. Definitely not as nice as other Four Points I've stayed in - looking a bit shabby but being renovated. The hotel is just off the highway in an area that has little to offer visitors. No restaurants or other places a visitor would want to go. I wouldn't feel comfortable walking around at night either. We arrived at 1 AM and there were several people at the front of the hotel smoking and drinking. No one bothered us but we were stared at as if we were being sized up - uncomfortable. Inside lots of raucous folks hanging around the lobby drinking - overflow from bar. Judging by all the fast food trash out front it appears that locals use the bar as their hang out but eat outside. Front parking lot was jammed with cars. Night clerk was gruff adding to the discomfort. Day shift people in contrast were extremely friendly. Due to the unsavory nature of the neighborhood and local drinking crowd I will not bring family there again and probably wouldn't stay by myself either.
