“OK Airport Hotel, Especially if you are in town for sporting event.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2012

I have stayed here twice before for various football games. If you are in town to attend a sporting event this is a good hotel near MSY. Got this for a great rate thru Priceline. Seems to have been updated since the last time I was here(2004). Easy access to interstate with a straight shot to both Superdome in one direction, and airport in the other. Could use a little work in some spots, but rooms were fine. No real complaints. If you are looking for something "Ritzy" then there are plenty of hotels downtown to choose from. Reasonable hotel in good location to get around.

My daughter and I don’t get to travel as much as we would like to but when we do we would like everything to go smooth as butter. We stayed here in Aug 2011 for two nights prior to our cruise.

This hotel was very reasonably priced and very affordable for me, which is what I look for.

Upon arrival the staff were really, really friendly! There was also lemonade in the lobby – of course we had some. The check in process was very quick as well. The lobby is very brightly decorated and has a nice feel to it. Our room was very nice and modern for the price too. Nice comfy beds with down comforters and lots of pillows. There is even a refrigerator! I like that because we love our food.

Another thing I’d like to mention about the staff is they always said hello when we arrived. Just something as simple as that means a lot to us.

On our second night we worked out in the 24 hour gym until about 1:30 am in the morning. When we came back to our room the power was out! We called front desk to let them know. They said that there was a power surge and it had knocked out power to some of the hotel. We had to move to another room just down the hall.

They even offered to help us move our things. They were very apologetic about the whole thing and offered us two free breakfast buffet tickets for the next morning. We really liked that! YUM!

There were eggs, bacon, ham, pastries, muffins, hash browns and fresh fruit. Whenever anything was close to running out they brought some more out right away.

Thanks to all the wonderful staff there!

Stayed just one night, after a late flight. Check-in was average; the desk clerk was not incredibly friendly or happy to see us. Given a room on the 6th floor -- it was small, but adequate. The TV was very nice. There was a hole in the wall of the bathroom, but it did not cause any problems. The sound from the interstate did not bother us.

The worst part of our stay was going to the hotel's restaurant the next morning, before we checked out. Due to very high menu prices, we ordered the breakfast buffet, which, at least, came with a beverage to make up for the high cost. We filled one plate with very average (at best) food, and, while we were at our table eating our one small plate of food, the restaurant staff cleared the entire buffet away; by the time we finished our one plate, everything was gone. Very unprofessional -- they should have, at least, waited until we had eaten enough to make purchasing the buffet worth our while. I did not see a supervisor anywhere to speak to and the experience was so "sub-par" that we were just anxious to leave, which we did.

I do not think we will stay here again. If we do, we certainly will go elsewhere to enjoy a decent breakfast.

Some plus points:
Close to interstate (it is too close, beware)
Free parking and internet
Close to some fast food restaurants

Minus points:
Lot of highway noise, even with the balcony door shut
Very small rooms

Overall stay here was ok. When we checked in, we were given a room in 7th floor. Although it was non-smoking, it smelled of cigarettes. Also, the microwave and refrigerator were tiny. When we complained about it, they moved us to a room in 6th floor which was better. The room had microwave and fridge (small, but sufficient), we could open the balcony door to look up-close at the interstate. TV was pretty big, and we could watch quite a number of channels.

When we turned on the heat, there was a nasty smell, so kept the cooler running all the time.
If you think the interstate traffic is noisy, wait till you turn the AC on.

The housekeeping cleaned up the entire room one day, the next day they cleaned everything, but forgot to make the bed!!!

Some of the good things about this place are - you can easily get on the highway, there's free parking (which saves you around $20 everyday), free internet. Room, hallway and lobby were pretty clean. We didn't have to wait more few seconds for the elevator.
They offered a complementary beer, but we couldn't go to the bar, as we spent all our nights in Bourbon street.

If you are very sensitive to noise, then don't stay here. If you are ok with the noise (the noise reduces once you shut the balcony door and close the heavy curtains), and if you are just spending a couple of nights here, then a decent place to stay

The appearance if the hotel from the outside & in lobby is bland & ordinary. The girl that checked me in was nice but lacked needed information about a class that was scheduled in the building the next morning. The room... Just average in every way, but it was clean with free snacks & water. Nice touch. I thought the window was open on my 5 th floor room because the traffic noise was SO loud! But it was in fact closed & the noise was JUST that loud. I got no sleep at All. It was terrible. Full price room prebooked and I had to try to sleep in the highway! Truly a nightmare for an insomniac like myself. But it didn't end there, early Saturday morning, tried to eat in the rest. downstairs. Food was cold and bland. The class I was there to see, girl at the desk wasn't sure they were having it! But I guess the fact that the meeting rooms had lost power and they were in the process of moving us into the bar! Someone finally told a group of us that was standing around wondering what to do. The bar was Very Very small & of course smelled like old beer! Fantastic, 6 hours bright & early with NO sleep in a rancid bar packed in like sardines with a rotating fan blowing on us! I will sleep in my car next time, at least that should be on a highway! ! Btw, no apologies offered to me... Not sure about the 30 other people

After our 20 days journey true New Orleans, Memphis, Nashville, Chattanooga, Gatlingburg , Montgomery, Pensacola Beach , Baton Rouge, New Orleans and Baton Rouge and then it ends here at Four Points near the airport :-)
What a treat to stay here , It was a very nice hotel , near the airport , near lots of eating places they have a restaurant on place also serves a lovely breakfast and has a nice balcony , we got a room facing the swimming pool and we stayed most of the afternoon at the pool for the kids to enjoy the last of the summer we will get for the next half year .
Nice personal and very professionel , when booking it true Sheraton the optstion to bring kids isn´t there so You have to make a note on the order so they hadn´t really gotten that in we where having 3 children with us, and that we needed a rollerbed too, but that was fixed in 5 minutes after we arravied to the room
If we ever get back we could easly stayed here for several days it was very nice here

Room Tip: ask for a room over the swimmingpool

Stayed here for one night after flight in to New Orleans. When we first checked in the room we were given smelled like wet dog. I went downstairs to ask for another room and had to stand there waiting for over 10 minutes while the desk staff were dealing with 1 customer each. A third employee was also behind the desk and offered to help another customer who had just walked up while ignoring me. After all that wait, the staff couldn't find a room for us and we had to wait until the shift manager showed up to find someone who could actually do the job and find a room.
Thankfully we only used the room to sleep because it wasn't really attractive but at least it smelled ok. Wouldn't suggest staying here more than one night as the facilities weren't the greatest and the neighborhood looks kinda sketchy.
