“Great Fish and Gumbo!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2013

I have to admit that we like the Acme in the French Market more, but this place is very good. Perhaps we like it more because of the location in the French Market, where all the action is. This location was great because our hotel was about a half mile away. I had the shrimp and fish plate. The shrimp was smaller than I expected but it was good. The fish was excellent; two large pieces. I ordered gumbo and it was very tasty. I also ordered a side of potato salad but it lacked flavor. My wife ordered the gumbo and she loved it. After reading the reviews, the next time I will try the chargrilled oysters. Check them out if you're staying in Metairie, LA, you won't be disappointed. “Chargrilled Oysters”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 6, 2013 via mobile

Chargrilled oysters and the fried fish and shrimp combo is a great lunch or dinner. The oysters taste great but are kinda small. The fish and shrimp combo is an easy go to.The staff is nice and the wait is alot shorter than the French Quarter location. Enjoy.

“Great Oysters”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2013

Wonderful place. The food is excellent. The line is less than desired. It is worth the wait, but I will find alternate food after the first time. The line is outragous. Chargrilled oysters are a "must have".

“not as good as I thought it would be”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013

We had read all of the excellent reviews, so our first day in New Orleans, we went there for lunch. I had a PoBoy Shrimp sandwich with gumbo. The friend shrimp was cold as was the gumbo. It was very busy, so we had to wait outside. For the price there were much better restaurants for lunch or dinner.
