“Good hotel, so, so casino.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

This hotel is the best one on Lake Charles, other than this one is Isle of Capri. The lazy river pool is the best Entertaintment . The rooms are clean, but the common areas hallway smells like dog sweat. The dessert shop is awesome. The variety of pastries are numerous. The presentation on display is awesome. Overall it was a good experience but nothing to bag about or a repeat experience.

Had fantasy football draft. Everyone had a great time. Enjoyed the adult pool and lazy river and and casino. Staff was great and attentive. Played golf and Contraband and course was in great shape and fun to play.

This place is extravagant and and fun, the casino has everything for the novice to the professional. Weather you game is slots, blackjack, poker or dice it is there. They have a poker room and high dollar blackjack room.
On weekends there is entertainment from comedians to solo singers and groups. You name it.
They have fancy dining to buffets, and everything in between. Some are even open all night. There is all types of shopping available to pick gifts for friends back home or a new outfit for mom and dad.
The hotel is fantastic. They have rooms with two queen beds, king size beds, even suites available in the 21 story tower. Handicap rooms are very accessible and they also have smoking and non-smoking rooms. There is a workout facility and an indoor pool.
Let's not leave our your golfers. A beautiful course is available, also golf carts for those who don not want a refreshing stroll down the fairways going from tee to greens and onto the next hole.

The place is extravagent and fun, the casino is very nice.....best one around. The hotel isn't anything to write home about. It includes NOTHING, not even wifi, everything costs extra. The only reason to stay here is convenience. The rooms are very humid, everything feels kind of wet, it was odd. It was nice; however, to just have to walk to the elevators to get to the room after drinking and gambling all night.

The hotel is beautiful upon arrival and they have tried to make it a 4 star + hotel but it just misses the mark. The casino needs an upgraded air circulation system. It is difficult to get into the spa but if you are able to get an appointment, it is nice. Note - book appointments several weeks in advance. The golf course is in horrible condition which is a shame as it is a great course. While the rooms are large, there is no mini bar or Lodgenet movies and both times I have stayed, the carpet has been badly stained. The pool is extremely crowded and patrons walk through the lobby in swim attire. On the last visit a VERY intoxicated woman was passed out at 3:00pm on a day bed at the pool - in her clothes from the night before. All of the restaurants are good and Embers has a lovely atmosphere.

My husband and I stayed Friday night August 9th. We checked in at 6. Our first room on the 10th floor had marker on the sheets of one bed and a blood stain on the other. We called the front desk to switch rooms. No apology, just gave us the key. Still marker on those sheets. We just dealt with it.

We ate at the Asia restaurant which was good. The casino was small, and when we did find a space at a table, we were hardly ever offered a drink. We finally bought one at the bar.

At 11, we went up to the room. I fell asleep at midnight and woke up at 1:30 to people partying. It carried on until 4am!!!! It was awful. It sounded like it was coming through the vent.

We couldn't wait to pack up and hit the road. We just had Starbucks for breakfast.

There were lots of kids running around....not something I felt like dealing with at a casino. I left my kids at home with my mom, where kids should be. I will not return here. I'd rather go to Las Vegas every couple years then visit here ever again.
