“Good place to stop for lunch when on the road to New Orleans”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2014 via mobile

You order at the counter when you enter and then find a table. The food is prepared and served quickly. The wait staff was vigilant and handled any requests quickly. We had crawfish étouffée and fried oysters which were both good. The oysters came with French fries and a tiny amount of coleslaw. Both meals came with a fried dinner roll which was horrible because it was greasy and tasteless.

“universally adored by locals and visitors”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2014

Steamboat Bill's is a glorious wonderland of delicious, spicy fried food. This is not the place to go if you are worried about your cholesterol. They offer tasty salads and grilled chicken, but people go here for the fried boudin, stuffed fried shrimp, and fried oysters. When it's crawfish season, Steamboat Bill's is a delightful, crowded madhouse. You can smell the spices when you drive by. I love this place.

“Good fried catfish and shrimp.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2014 via mobile

Good casual place to eat if you don't want to spend a lot and like seafood. If you want boiled crayfish or fried shrimp and catfish it is a great place to go. You order as you come in and they bring it to you.

Very good good, service and atmosphere. The prices are a little high, but it just that good. When you're able to treat someone our yourself, this I'd the spot.

“Fried Delights and a few boiled ones too”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2014

This is a long standing cajun seafood fryhouse. It has that on the bayou flavor and atmosphere that is fun to experience. Salads are also a good choice for those watching their weight. Boiled seasonal food is well spiced and accompanied by the cajun favorites of potatoes and corn. Most of the time since its self order with table service the service is great but at times you get one of the not so good servers. But the food it is worth the chance you take of that. Gumbo, Boiled Shrimp, Catfish all good staple items. Enjoy!
