I stayed at this location this past weekend, I must say that the hotel staff was outstanding.
Everyone went out of their way to accommodate any request to the best of their ability.
Rooms were great, food was great. I will certainly stay there again should the need arise.

Don't let the reviews scare you off. This property has been remodeled a few years ago. Understand that this property is older, exterior room entrances (except for suites off lobby), smallish rooms, very small bathrooms. My room was clean, the bed was comfortable, included a fridge that worked very well and a microwave. There was a functional work station and the free internet worked like a charm. A/C loud but efficient and controlled by wall thermostat so you didn't have to listen to it 24/7.
I was here for a meeting and it seems there they book alot of meetings! The hotel was almost full and every meeting room was booked. It was confusing as groups wandered around looking for their meetings and interrupted others.
Overall an ok experience. I would be interested in seeing what the competitive rates for rooms are in the area and if there are better value options. This room isn't really worth $100 a night.

To the staff

We had the opportunity to stay with you for the mda telethon. You graciously took us in and made the stay wonderful, even after a full house from the football weekend. The rooms were outstanding, clean, updated and very comfortable. As for the registration desk personnel, what can we say, you all are an outstanding crew, friendly and knowledgable. Also for the staff and manager of the restaurant, the food was outstanding and the manager of the night shift and morning shift so understanding and accomodating. To all can't say thank you enough and looking forward to next year. See you all again.
Thank you all again, 5 volunteers from the mda

Some friends and I had a Hawaiian Luau in the Presidential Suite and it was AWESOME! We hired our favorite bartender (Sunnie) to serve drinks in her Hawaiian attire and she was a hit. We even got our favorite night manager (Robert Torregano Jr) to wear a straw hat and grass skirt (sorry the picture came out so blurry). There were a couple of issues with the suite when we checked in, but Robert promptly took care of them. This hotel is the top hotel is Lafayette, not only because it's a great hotel, but also because it has an awesome staff!

Robert took care of us. We had a small room and when i asked to be upgraded to the Presidential Suite, it was no problem. I even got a discount on it. Had a few problems, but Robert took care of them all. The only thing i didn't like was for 3 adults and 2 kids, we paid $55 for a buffet breakfast and they also put gratuity on the bill. The girl waiting on us only came to the table to get the drink order and bring the drinks and she got a full tip for that. Robert wasn't there that morning or he would have made it right.
