I stayed at this hotel in April and had a bad experience. I was put in a room that was scheduled to be refurbished and should not have been on the available rooms list. I complained to the front desk when checking out and got little attention about my dissatisfaction. Later I routed my complaint to the hotel management and I must say they stepped up to the plate and acted admirably to make up for this experience.

I can recommend this hotel, but I caution you to ask if the room has be remodeled. Don't get put in an old room.

I have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions. The service is consistently good and the facilities are very nice. The newly renovated rooms are outstanding. The food in the restaurant is very good. I always enjoy my stays at this hotel. My most recent stay was May 13-14, 2006, and I enjoyed my stay as always. I recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to the Lafayette area.

I was upset with the long wait time to check in. Staff seemed to be ignorant and front desk manager and HR person were chatting away. Unprofessional. I figured the property would be up to HHonors standard but certainly not. Rooms are old and need updating.

I have previosuly stayed at the Hilton Lafayette. It was tired and in need of a facelift.
This February, I returned to find that the facelift was great and the southern hospitatilty remained.
The room decor was refined, the bed and pillows let me sleep like a dream. Bathroom amenities nice.
They remembered that I was a return guest and left a plate of fruit in my room. A very welcomed touched for a long travel day. The concierge floor is worth the extra cost.
I would highly recommend the Hilton Lafyette for pleasure or business or your next visit to Cajun country!
