Restaurant floors were sticky days in a row. Waiters had no clue. Food was not as described on menu. Ordered dish smothered in carrots and onions--no carrots or onions. Quality of food was bad! Eggs were cold every morning. One morning, biscuits were raw in the center--consistency of mashed potatoes. There was lipstick on "fresh" cups.

Thank you for taking the time to review Alexander's Restaurant in the Hilton Lafayette. I have shared these comments with our Chef and Food and Beverage Director. This type of experience is certainly out of the ordinary for our restaurant and immediate steps will be taken to ensure that it is not repeated.

Enjoyed my weekend stay. Rooms were clean and comfortable, staff were courteous and very helpful. Location was close to popular restaurants like Outback and the Blue Rodrigue Cafe. Breakfast Buffet a little pricey. Meeting Rooms very nice. Pool and Spa looked amazing but I didn't have an opportunity to use either. Highly Recommended.

Booked on a Friday night using Priceline and drove over on Saturday for swimming, sightseeing, flea market and Pizza Hut! (All of our local Huts had closed a year or so early, so it was a nice treat.) The pool was very nice with a nice little bonus of having the hotel located along canal that resembles a small Louisiana bayou (wife says she thinks it's a drainage canal.) While it might not be up to some of the 5-star Hilton standards, it's great for a little getaway from Houma or Thibodaux. And I must say, the Jockey Lot Flea Market out on U.S. 49 has improved greatly in recent years! We'll be back.

Great staff, very clean, but restaurant and some parts of hotel could use some sprucing up. The food is very good though. A nice experience overall. I have stayed at this hotel before and have always been treated well. The maid service is good. We usually are working from our rooms when we travel and they always make sure we have plenty of coffee and anything we need.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your recent stay at the Hilton Lafayette. I appreciate your kind words regarding the great staff, very good food and overall cleanliness. It looks like we will begin the "sprucing up" during the summer of 2013 and the restaurant will be one of the first places addressed. I look forward to sharing your comments regarding the Housekeeping staff with them at our meeting tomorrow. I am glad that our work area allows to work from your room during your visits and take advantage of our in room amenities.

I am giving this as a Hilton Diamond member. I have stayed at many Hilton properies and this one ranks as a 6 out of 10. The rooms are nice and if you get the Executive level the evening reception snacks are good. The hotel is a little outdated when your walking to your room. The elevators are super slow so when your going down from the 14th or 15th floor youll be waiting a while. Its better than staying at several other hotels if the price is right. Other Hilton properties are nicer such as Homewood suites or even the Hampton Inn.

Room Tip: If you can get an upgrade, get an executive floor. Youll need your key in the elevator to get to the...

Thank you for your loyalty to the Hilton Brand and thank you for choosing the Hilton Lafayette for this recent stay. I appreciate your kind comments regarding our guest rooms and Executive Lounge offerings. I would like to share with you that we just finished the bidding stage of our elevator modernization project. I am not sure of the start date at this time, but when complete, it will improve speed, reduce noise and offer a smoother ride. Additional improvements to the facility are upcoming, and I will share them with you as I find out more.

Thank you for choosing to stay at the Hilton Lafayette during the Christmas holidays. I appreciate your taking the time to write a TripAdvisor review of that experience. I enjoyed reading your kind words regarding our pleasant efficient employees. I am glad that they were able to help you with directions or other local information. I am glad that you enjoyed your room with a city view. I think the view of the Lafayette skyline and Bendel Gardens are just as good as the river.
