“clean and comfy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2012

nice location, seemed like new hotel, staff we encountered was nice

we had a suite, bedroom with 2 queens and living room with a pull out.....if you dont have this reserved, you can get an upgrade for $10

comp hot breakfast was the only think slightly lacking here.....there were several items that were out or running low and the person in charge of breakfast was out about the grounds cleaning up trash, then when she came in she was kinda upset that someone would let her know that things were out....well that is what happens when 20+ show up at one time to eat
and there items were limited in variety

price was great and definitely stay again if ever in the area

A very nice property in a great location. Very easy to get to anywhere from here.

The staff were some of the friendliest I have ever encouncered. We stayed two three night periods over a 10 day period. They treated us like family, asked questions about what we did, and offered lots of advice. And they remembered us.

The hot and cold breakfast was larger than any other I have had at a Fairfield Inn. The servers were constantly cleaning the tables so there never was a wait. They always acted like they truly liked their jobs.

We had nine bad actors who partied all night in the room next to us. The staff quieted them after I phoned the desk. They also awarded me 10,000 Marriott points for our trouble. A nice touch.

The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. We stayed for two nights for a convention in town and we were comfortable here.

This Fairfield is a good hotel at a good price, typical of the chain. It is well located at the intersection of two interstates. We enjoyed a pleasant and uneventful stay. It is particularly convenient for people wanting to visit Breaux Bridge though if one wanted to spend time in cajun country futher south a hotel in New Iberia might be a better location.

Loved Lafayette and this hotel is very central. We had two nights here. Check in was friendly and loved the cookies! Yum. Used the business center one time and the system was quick and user friendly with printer that worked well, liked that the business room was open into the lounge but could be an issue if someone actually had to use it for business (I just had school work to complete). Room was large. We had a suite that overlooked the river. The only issue we had was that the bed was very very firm. Sore hips in the am but nothing that a little bit of yoga couldn't fix. Breakfast was the same bland Fairfield breakfast.

Fairfield Inn & Suites exceeded our expectations in every way. We stayed here when we went to Lafayette to attend my nephew's wedding. Arriving late at night, imagine the pleasant surprise when I opened the curtains the next morning to a beautiful view of the bayou and gorgeous homes with manicured lawns on the other side of it! Many times, hotel rooms, especially in large cities, have nothing but concrete or rooftoop views, so this was a welcome surprise. The hotel offered a complimentary breakfast, which we unfortunately were not able to take advantage of, but we heard it was a good one. The suite was very clean, comfortable, and spacious. All the staff members were courteous and accommodating. The outdoor pool was beautiful, overlooked the bayou, and provided hours of enjoyment for our boys. Superb price for a queen suite! Great place to stay that I will keep in mind for future trips.

My only complaint... I have neck problems and forgot to bring my pillow from home, so I was a little uncomfortable due to the different pillows which seemed very soft, but as your head settled into the pillow, it became firm... I guess the feathers only settle so far. lol Also, the mattress was slightly less comfortable compared to other recent hotel stays. Overall, I would give this hotel the highest of ratings and would choose to stay here again, just will be sure I have my pillow next time. :-)

Room Tip: Ask for room overlooking bayou. Suites are very spacious.
