Dining competition is tough in this city and region with so many choices. The bistro is new compared to its mothership Poupart's Bakery, a local landmark for years across town.
Large cases of pretty pastries of many colors, sizes, and confection entice one to explore this notch in the wall. Clean-clean and tidy. Employees were superbly welcoming and helpful. Opening onto a high, glassed-in interior patio with small tables, how can one just walk out?
In these parts, a half-sandwich is normally a meal, but alas, my half-sandwich was a half-meal. My ample, healthy size might have triggered a suggestion to take it up to a whole one. Delicious and perfectly cooked, just smaller than my regional expectation.
Well above Average, but on the lower end of Very-Good, I probably won't go again, but still a good choice. If I'd stumbled onto this place (which I did), I'd be so pleased. So will you.
