Best fine dining food in Lafayette. The sampler appetizer is incredible! Never dissapointed. Service is first class. Softshell crb and steak are great main courses!

I've recently read a review by Frommer's and was surprised to see Mary Herczog's very opinionated insulting review. She spoke of the slow service and the stuffiness of the waiters. I've dined at Cafe Vermilionville several times before and my experience had always been close to perfect. So I had to go see it again for myself. Service was impeccable. Food came out hot and in a very timely fashion. Overall, I am still impressed with their food and service. Sounds like Mary just had one of her bad days. Cafe Vermilionville is still number one on my list.
