“No trip to Lafayette is complete without an Old Tyme poboy”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2012

Oh, sure, we go to visit my brother, but what really gets us excited is the prospect of a poboy from this place. These are the poboys I grew up with - perfectly fried seafood (or fish on Fridays), good bread, and a reasonable price.

“Best Po Boys in Town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2012

If you like fried shrimp you won't be dissappointed with their shrimp po boys. Gets crazy during Lent and at lunch time but if you can wait for those hours to slow down you won't be disappointed.

“A reflection of cajun hospitality”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2012

Nothing fancy, just a very relaxed and causal eating experience. (eat in or takeout) The atmosphere is laid back and definitely has a college town feeling. There are an equal number from the business community and well as students from ULL (University of Louisiana Lafayette) that enjoy the good selection of poboys. I seem to lean to the shrimp but the Olde Tyme Special of ham, turkey roast beef and cheese is very good. You should not walk away hungry and the flavor is cajun. Many locales enjoy (always a good indication you will like).
